Obviously it isn't exactly the same - as you show with the side-by-side - but both shirts are red and white.
I am guessing you aren't colour blind?
I'm not, but my son and his grandad are.

The often quoted defence of "the shorts and socks are different" is really annoying - EVERYTHING should be totally different!!

As for the new home and away shirts you can't tell me they couldn't have come up with something that entirely negates any risk? There's a while spectrum of colours out there yet we've decided red and white is a good option. It's laughably stupid.
Do you have a problem if Leeds or Derby play in their home kits at the lane?
We wore the home kit at Swansea last year. Did that cause a problem for you?

For me, our away kit should have White with Black Trim or Yellow with red trim. How it always used to be
I think there’s a big difference to be fair. The away is predominantly white, with the home being predominantly red, black so it will be darker… luckily we don’t play against our away kit so no chance of a clash thereIn the context of this thread the new away kit release is astonishing.
Home kit = red and white stripes
Away kit = white with red stripe
WTF!!??
Remains to be seen for me and I'll have to make a decision in the flesh against other shirts, but as you say it'll be the choice of when we wear it that'll be the real deciding factor. It's just a very odd decision to use those colours.I think there’s a big difference to be fair. It’s just how they decide which kit we wear when we play sides with close colours to our kits
Yeah I think a dark blue/ purple/ black would be fine in that caseRemains to be seen for me and I'll have to make a decision in the flesh against other shirts, but as you say it'll be the choice of when we wear it that'll be the real deciding factor. The third kit will almost certainly need to be something dark.
I am dreaming of a '1989 away' style third kit
It's Black with Gold trimI am dreaming of a '1989 away' style third kit

You're not alone, although in the flesh that probably wouldn't be too much of an issue for me. Seems to cause me more issues when it's on screen, probably something to do with the TV refresh rate and my eyes adjusting to it.Sometimes I am surprised by which kits clash for me. I am watching MOTD and the Southampton v Leeds game is a tough one even though if I look at the kits independently I would have thought it would be fine.
The issue basically is that both teams are wearing light shirts with dark shorts, so in this picture…

… I am really struggling. It’s much worse when they are moving too.
What's the take on Man U's me kit, setting aside the fact it's nice to see them 4 down by not even half time!
I thought there was an understanding that green kits were off the menu aside from say Plymouth who aren't about to throw years of history out the window.
Watching on tv you'd imagine it's not far off the colour of the grass, nevermind clashing with red in the colour spectrum.
That's just a clash full stop.Sometimes I am surprised by which kits clash for me. I am watching MOTD and the Southampton v Leeds game is a tough one even though if I look at the kits independently I would have thought it would be fine.
