What's that got to do with not attacking away from home?I'm Confused.
Hecky's been told there is no more money, even by his own admission he still needs a couple more (I thought they said he would have money to spend, and I thought by that £10 or £12m) Since being manager hecky has bought two players both low budget, the rest have been bargain basement or loans.
Shouldn't we be blaming HRH, even if he sold the club for £50m he would still come in with a hansome profit.
I don’t think Didcot Town will make the FA cup final this year so cancel it allFucks sake I'd already booked my train tickets and hotel for Wembley![]()
If I may make a suggestion? That's the issue. Its not whether we're out of the cup or not or whether we need the fixture pile-up, it extends a lot further back and needs addressing. I was looking forward to watching us on Sunday but I'll be watching hoping we just don't lose. That's not the attitude to have at all but it's how it's become.
And as a poster mentions above, we've played a new system with new players. Yet just the other day he told us he didn't bring McAtee on with 10 minutes to go because he didn't know how we played off the ball. Does that make any sense? He's basically hung him out to dry there.
Shoes Off. Burning my season ticket as we speak. Sack them all. Not good enough. We should be winning these type of games 9:0.
The Fulham away was a smash n grab a hard working performance nothing else except the Goal of shear quality .It was no different to our losses at Home to Birmingham Huddersfield and Blackpool three smash n grabs. Have to say that having gone to all away games last season ( except QPR) other than Forest I cant say that was a good performance, maybe a couple of adequate ones.Just to play devils advocate, we have also beaten two Premier League sides in Fulham and Forest away under Heckingbottom and took a point against the play off finalist. You could also spin it that we've won 2 of the last 3 away games in the league.
I do get the concerns though and it will become a real talking point if we meekly lose the next couple of away games. I can't comment on tonight and I don't think much, if anything, should be read into the result/performance but there is no doubt we have had 4 or 5 total no shows away from home under Heckingbottom since New Year. Serious questions will start being asked if we have another 2 or 3 before the break.
Of course we would. 23 home wins = 69 points.I'm not calling for the managers head by the way. But unless the away attitude changes we cannot go up. Even with 23 home wins.
How did McAtee play then? any good?
What are you on about? You Joke but that was pretty much our first team who got a slapping by West Brom U23
I'm not doing that again. £120 quid for 30 minutes to be told I had "mommy issues".Anyone judging our chances on last night's performance needs to see a therapist. We made 5 changes, had u23's playing and new players who were just getting game time to prepare for the league. It was a glorified pre season friendly
We aren't going to win 23 home games though are we.Of course we would. 23 home wins = 69 points.
Average points required for 2nd place = 88. Are you saying we can't find 19 points on the road? 6 wins? Or 3 wins and 10 draws.
Last season Hecky took 22points from 13 away games (5 wins & 4 draws)
No. And we ain't only picking up 19 points away eitherWe aren't going to win 23 home games though are we.
Yep and Osborne now injuredI've not seen it tonight, or listened to it. But it's the cup with half a first team. It's not a big deal. What is a big deal is the lack of competition for Fleck, that needs addressing before the window closes.
I don't want to ruin this thread by posting facts but Hecky's recond last season was 18 points from 12 away games. 5 wins, 3 draws and 4 defeats.Controversial, but I think we should actually play a few more away games this season before we draw any conclusions.
I really couldn't care less about an EFL cup tie in which some youngsters and newbies were blooded, and we tried a different formation.
Far more interested to see how we approach Boro on Sunday.

Pretty much promotion form if you are decent at home.
