What is the purpose of putting this on the back of the shirts?
it is totally out of context

I'm sure it will be, and the location of it means it'll look absolutely ridiculous if you don't have a name & number on the shirt.Tell me that isn't on the replica shirts on sale to fans
It's about time they separated the shirts the team wear from the ones the fans can buy
We should at least have an option to buy shirts without shit looking advertising on them
True but the vast majority of exposure surely comes from when the team is seen in itSurely that's what the companies buying the space want though isn't it, it's not just on the telly, in the stands, on the hoardings, behind Hecky, on the street in town.
And then one day, when looking for a new football game to play, you hit the app store, and you're subconsciously drawn to 'Ultimate Champions' because you connect with it, somewhere, some how.
I'd dare to say that as many if not more people will see the company name on football shirts when they are being worn by members of the public as they go about their day to day business than will ever see it on the player's when wearing them..... Don't forget this section of people includes people who don't go to matches or watch matches on TV or even have any liking of football in any shape or form.True but the vast majority of exposure surely comes from when the team is seen in it
Another point, is the money we take from the advertisers even worth it if it ruins the kit every season? Which is made all the more comical when we build up the kit release so eagerly for about 4 months....![]()
