I know all that- but basing on the performance last night- not with the history. Max literally looked like he'd put the boots on wrong way round and I'd now wished they'd just had him. He looks exactly like the player we thought he was - very disappointing.

On another note - in the interview with Hecky at 7.59pm was it just me or did he look like a bloke that knew we were going to play badly? He looked plain scared.

The manager always spends more time bigging up the opposition than he does his own players. He started telling everyone how good Watfords forwards were 2 weeks ago.
Remember how good he made Coventry sound before we went there. He's already started on his 'Millwall will be tough, they've signed good players & will be up for it's speel!!!

I'm all for giving people a proper chance but after that performance he'll be lucky to get another game. I certainly wouldn't give him another game. He was just as bad as he was pre-Forest.
The truly frightening thing is that he's only just a bit worse than Stevens and RND, who are both utterly pathetic and offer nothing going forward. Stevens, like Fleck, has fallen off a cliff and RND has never looked good in a United shirt for any reasonable period of time.

RND was out of position too much for my liking in the early part of last season but I thought he had some really good games in the second half of the season.

He was excellent against Forest.

I certainly feel he's good enough for us at LWB.

He was fucking gash but I can’t believe he plays like that all the time, he obviously didn’t for Forest, he wouldn’t have got in the team. I think he just struggled to adapt to the pace of the game and everything he tried didn’t work. It happens sometimes. I kind of agree with you, in that I still think he could be OK for us. I don’t think he can be written off just for a bad substitute’s appearance for a side that he hasn’t played a competitive game for in over a season.

Really dont get Lowe, he was outstanding for Forest by all accounts, but, everytime we see him in a Blades shirt, hes like a 3 legged, blind, carthorse!?
If he wants to be a professional footballer, play football, if he doesnt want to be here, then fuck off, but atleast have a bit of common sense.

I thought Lowe was laughably bad in the premier league and just as bad last night but he had a good season last year. He earnt another chance and that has to be more than one sub appearance.

The problem with Lowe is he is stupid.

He wanted to stay where he was, I get that.

He doesn't understand to force a move, he needs to actually look like a player someone would want.

Hear me out. He was sloppy in possession and rarely made anything happen, however:

• He is naturally more energetic and pacy than Enda. Once settled, he could have us on the front foot.
• He was regularly further forward than Enda. He was trying to get into the right places.
• He tried some quick touch stuff with Berge, Khadra and others in advanced areas, it just didn't come off, but nor did it for anyone else.
• He's younger and can improve, same for RND, Enda is only on the decline and has been for a long while.

Like robbiez666 said, he was getting in the right areas before messing it up.

And as BushBlade says, it's his first competitive appearance for us in ages. He came into an unsettled side, an improvised defence, behind and ineffective midfield, for a game where we had little game plan, and couldn't make possession stick, against a side with the best front 3 in the division. He was playing a system, with team mates that he wasn't/isn't familiar with and let's be honest - his nearest teammates were an off the pace Fleck and an out of position RND - it's hardly prime JOC, Enda and Fleck is it.

Just think he needs more of a chance, when Hecky knows his best side.
