Thoughts on the kit?

That might get escalated later when I have to handle telling my son that the kit is finally out, but he just cant buy it yet.
It does seem like further commercial idiocy that the key demographic for buying football shirts can't buy the shirts. It's not that hard is it? Change the machines to make smaller ones and send some of those with the bigger ones.

I know you think it's unimportant but it's absolute stupidity.

Goalkeeper kit is the best out of the 2 for me. But why do all the badges look as though they aren’t sewn down properly.

I'm nitpicking here but if it was up to me I'd have had the collar and cuffs in red to match the red pinstripes. Still buying it though and will be my first ever Blades goalie shirt.

Aren’t the junior kits always on sale later than the adults? I could be wrong

Absolutely gorgeous, best one of my entire lifetime.

It will be roundly disliked however, since most United fans are cunts with zero aesthetic taste, but I for one am VERY happy 😍⚔️😍⚔️

Looks oreyt to me. Would've preferred white socks but that's nitpicking.

Same

White socks instead of white and this would have been the best Blades kit design that I can remember.

Fuck sake, are you blind or just genuinely thick as fuck!??View attachment 140783View attachment 140784now, do you need help or can you see that on every shirt, the sleeves are just thrown on!

Keepers shirt looks pretty good, would've made a nice away.

If the sleeves are just "thrown on" how come there is symmetry? Red and white stripes land exactly the same place on both arms.

Club are clearly doing a 1970s/1993 hybrid with this design and I'm not exactly sure given that was the aim how they could have made this kit any better than it is has turned out (other than going for white socks over black of course ;) )

Keeper shirt is indeed bootiful but we could never use at is an away shirt design as it'd be too similar to the iconic Wednesday away shirt of the 90s.

I really don't know, I only ever buy kids kits and they just seem to be available when the kit is. But the season starts tonight and there's no date on when kids kits are available to buy, so my point still stands.

The black trim helps with the black sponsor logo.
I don’t mind it, nice and simple.

I like it for the simple reason we have at last a shirt with full stripes on the back and sleeves. They have to spoil the announcement by suggesting there may not be stripes on the back in the future. Lets cross that bridge when we come to it. The Club should be fighting tooth and nail along with the other stripers to ensure this doesn't happen.

Not a fan of the black pin stripe but at least we haven't got pin stripes across the top of the shoulders and under the arm pit. Prefer white socks but overall its an upgrade on recent kits.

Just a shame we couldn't design similar colours for the away shirt that we've got for the goalkeepers kit. On this last point if we are wearing the home kit away tonight what colour goalkeepers shirt does Wes wear as the yellow clashes with Watfords home shirt?

This is actually a fairly big deal for me, because if the cunts at the EFL do indeed implement their proposed cuntish "no stripes on the back" rule, then this will be the last one I ever purchased, due to all future kits being ruined by the cunts at the EFL who deserve to fucking hang by the bollocks for being cunts.

Anyone else feel down and deflated now? It's like the whole purpose of my life has been removed. :(

Mind you, the away kit has yet to be revealed so...

Booo, it's white. Collar's rubbish. Central red stripe's not wide enough. Central red stripe's too wide. Not enough black on it. It'll clash when we play Ajax. Material's too flimsy. Material's too thick. It looks like Gordon Brown with a stick of asparagus sticking out of his jacksy. (actually, I made the last one up but I'm not ruling it out just yet).

The club making a thing out of it is pretty funny though when they've opted not to have stripes on the back a few times in recent history. It's like they're trying to deflect!

Not that it matters as I wasn't intending buying the home shirt anyway, but really dont

Bet it won't be less than the price of last year's (whatever that was!)
Yep, I think last years was £55 so I reckon £60 for this one.
which is foooooking scandalous cos it's the most simple template you will ever find - a front, a back and two sleeves stitched together + collar and cuffs (and before someone jumps on that look at some of the other complex kits out there with 7 or 8 panels + trims which need stitching together).
I bet it costs all of 10 bob to knock one of our new shirts out in the sweat shop.

That's very true, we were engaging in block-colour wankery as far back as 2005, and have made several such unforced errors since.
