19yo Man City CAM. He’s been linked with a Championship loan next season. 18gls and 7 assists in the PL2 this season

Think we have to realise that to get the flair, skill and class required to replace MGW, we need to look at players hungry and destined for bigger things with the naivety of youth. McAtee fits the bill i reckon

Good grief 😯
Would love this kid!!

I don't see why we can't have 4 or 5 "no10s" this season - it's a 46 game season with 5 subs available in every match. We want as much attacking quality as possible.

We could easily have 3 or 4 on the pitch at the same time anyway. Ndiaye or Khadra could even be shifted to lead the line.

Also there's the matter of being able to pick the most suitable option for each match.

So would McAtee have played with Jebbo for England or does he just follow him for no reason?…

Rather than accumulate many #10s, I'd prefer to go with one less if it meant that an out & out striker could be recruited BB. It feels as though a lot of expectation is being heaped on Brewster - I just hope he can flourish this season. The side is likely to be short of goals if not.

I see what you're saying. But it's Brewster and Billy Sharp!
Ndiaye did really well as the central forward late in the season too.

There's even.......

...

... Oli McBurnie

I’m not daring to hope in this instance.

Fair point and if PH is planning to go with a single striker then that might be enough, although given where OMcB is in his recovery and fitness, I suspect it will be closer to Xmas by the time he has an impact.

Tbh Ndiaye has impressed (especially considering his age) but I see him far more likely to score 10 next season than 25.

100% we need another striker if we're planning to regularly play two up front.

Though tbf I didn't mention Jebbison, as he's just a kid.

It'd be a surprise, but also remember a comment from Hecky saying that he wouldn't rule out signings towards the start of the season when teams have had the summer to assess their youth players

Came back with sources. 👍

Leeds were after him as a permanent. Don't think he'll end up there.

Said Agency also represent Tom Lawrence.
Exactly, and I posted about him when we were in the mix. Rangers sorted out TL’s personals much better and made it work for the wedge he wanted. However, TL was definitely interested in joining us and it came down to a few specific terms in the contract Rangers offered.

I can’t see it.

But This is seemingly the sort of player we should be using limited loan signings space for… one we would have no chance of signing permanently and one with the potential to be a top 10/15 player on the division next season.
