Thoughts on the kit?

This is a joke, 5 days before the season starts. The club bang on about a great commercial deal and then miss most of the selling period for the new shirts. I hope Errea are paying us a decent fee.
United fans will complain about fucking anything

Whereas some will just moan about people making valid points against the club because they are that brainwashed that they can’t see fault in anything the club does.
Who cares when the kit is released seriously? It’s the least important part of anything the club do this summer

I'm guessing with the dates quoted the Womens Euros has delayed the launch of new kit. Hope UEFA are paying a decent fee for use of the ground.
Online sales, Meadowhall store, rent a pop up in the derelict high street in the city centre.

The Euros being at BDTBL are not really a valid excuse.

Like I've said previously, I'm a grown up so I don't buy them for me. I'll get them for my kids and it doesn't matter to me as they'll want them whenever they're out.

My issue is that after a few years of being good with things like this, we've moved from a decent kit manufacturer to what, on the face of it is a substandard manufacturer. The club has cited commercial reasons for doing so. The shirts are used for 1 season and I'd say that 80% of sales are done pre-season with maybe a spike at Christmas. The club is allowing 5 days prior to the season starting assuming that the announcement and sales happen on the same day. It's not very clever behaviour is it?!

The kit is hand designed, not a template. This is where the issue lies. Not a bad issue to have

How long does it take to design a red and white shirt with a Blades badge on it that looks ok?!

Other clubs seem to have got 'hand designed' shirts by Errea done a lot more quickly than us.

Next excuse please.

Once again, moan about fucking anything just to hear your own voice

How long have Errea and United had this deal in the pipeline? Or was it just done at the start of this month?

I suspect the deal was done well in advance. How long does it take to design a shirt? As we know, mattbianco1 knocks loads out on here. That our shirt is unique and not a template is also a poor excuse.

Errea and United have tried something new and fucked it up.

How’ve they fucked it up? Please elaborate

The fact they're not even showing us a picture of one with 2 weeks to go suggests it's a fuck up. The fact we're playing friendlies in some ragtag left over shit from last year means it's a fuck up. There's 2 weeks to go. I'll buy it when I can, it doesn't matter much to me, but that's besides the point. As others have alluded to, it's all about trying to be professional. It's coming across as tinpot.

Please elaborate what difference it would’ve made if we released it on 18th May or today? It’s still ready for the season, I fail to see any issues whatsoever.

I bet the concept of ‘stock obsolescence’ is beyond you but Google it and see what you reckon.

If you fail to see any issues that's good for you. This isn't about moaning for the sake of it either. 2 weeks to go before the season and there isn't a single shirt stitched (if there was, we'd have seen someone modelling it). How many we going to sell? 15,000? I'm not sure how long a shirt takes to stitch, but you've gotta stitch em, bag em, box em, ship em - all in a two week timescale.

Someone, somewhere, has fucked up.

Who gives a fuck how many shirts we sell? Sound like fucking Wednesday

Because it’s income for the club…maybe!

Agree to a point but I suspect if you were going to buy a shirt you’d buy one on the 1 may or the 1 August - so the missed revenue shouldn’t be massive

That said after the fanfare of the announcement, it’s baffling they are seemingly unable to announce/ show anything to the fans - suspect something hasn’t gone 100% to plan

If we are reliant on the profit split from £45 home shirts we have bigger issues than the kit release date

I never said it was ground breaking income, but it’s income all the same.
Clearly you’re not clever enough to understand the need for a release of a kit prior to the season starting, so I’ll leave it at that.
