I've said it before, and I'll say it again, here in plain English so that even those who struggle with joined-up thinking like your good self can understand. Monty isn't the best player in the world, or at United, or possibly even in his house at times. If we can replace him permanently then let's do that.
I've said that many times, yet because I also think that you're not always right you take that to mean that I love Monty and he's my hero.
Well, he's not. I'll say that again for the fuckwits to try and grasp, again.
Just because I may or may not think that certain posters (naming nobody in particular so I don't get banned) are arseholes doesn't mean that I automatically love Monty.
I do happen to like Monty, but that doesn't mean that I would not be happy for him to be replaced. I am well aware of his limitations as a player, but a dislike for chicken liver pate does not mean an automatic love of tomato soup, and nor does thinking that sometimes Pinchy is full of either himself, or some other kind of shit, mean that Monty is my hero.
Monty wasn't the best player on Sunday, but a 1-0 defeat to Wednesday wasn't entirely down to his play, or lack thereof. Personally I thought Quinn and Cresswell had stinkers, not because I hate them irrationally, but just because on Sunday they weren't very good. That's all.
