Agreed. Totally understandable that Bogle has had fewer minutes than, say, Max Lowe. Lowe had an absolutely gigantic opening to securing a role, while Bogle's favoured position of RWB has been blocked by one of our most consistent performers this year. But that said, for the past month or so, what Bogle brings as an option off the bench (based on what he showed at Derby) has IMO far outweighed the draw back of slightly less cover for all our positions. It didn't need to take this long for him to get a chance.
The next question is where does he start. In a flat three, our RCM spends a lot of time hanging about in wide positions. With two central midfielders and a ten, he'd be playing more narrow. The former suits Bogle, the latter doesn't as much. But the latter formation is where we all want Wilder to go and, given the subbing on of Burke for Fleck, where Wilder looks like going too.
Given the promise he showed, I'd be minded to give him a try at RCM. He'll be full of confidence after Brighton and that's half the battle with our players at the moment. As good as Everton are, he'd likely be coming up against Tom Davies on Boxing Day, so it's not exactly a baptism of fire for his first start. The real challenge will be Doucoure IMO. But to be honest, with Berge out for three months and Lundstram suspended, it's not like we have much choice anyway.
