This shirt doesnt get talked about enough in the ATG shirt discussion for me. What a shirt

So the 3rd kit is going to look like a dropped breakfast?
If the home kit is red and white stripes…(must be cos they said nod to history and familiar) and if @ISZA’s suspicions about the Away kit are right and it is yellow (fluo or otherwise) why on Earth would we even need a third kit? Who might we play where both those kits would clash? They would be suitable also for the colour blind issue, wouldn’t they?

I have to say this is my favourite luminous away shirt, prefer to to the original ā€œluminousā€ but maybe it’s because of my age and I remember this one more

My fave. My mate bet me that shirt that I couldn't get this lovely lady's number in the boozer. After several pints of Dutch courage I acquired said digits with uncommon ease and got the shirt. Still have it, worth a few bob now.

Anyone know our last shirt where you could buy it as a long sleeve version? Not important but I've just been wondering about it recently!

I may be wrong in that you still can but I don't recall seeing one for years now. I think the last one I ever remember seeing was the 2009/10, our first instalment by Macron?? (another Italian kit maker šŸ‘€)

I'm now just realising I literally take no notice. Do players even wear long sleeves now or have they just been replaced by those under shirts?

This shirt was an embarrassment with the sponsor - and the neckline was terrible. Necklines are under-discussed on their impact on a good shirt. I think its make or break whether I buy the shirt or not. This is something Adidas normally got right.

I have major concerns with the Errea necklines, who seem to be hit or miss. When the smaller brands attempt to differentiate their shirts on the neckline they often make the shirts look cheap or awkward. The 19/20 Norwich shirt is a prime example of this (though their 20/21 effort was solid). The new Boro neckline, while good on paper, appears to be poorly executed and looks cheap.

Looking at the necklines for the small UEFA teams Errea did, they are all pretty bad. The only one I would accept is Cyrpus, and I don't even think that is well executed. The San Marino one is god-awful, and I really hope they don't put that on any of our shirts.

Sod the shirt, what happened to the girl?

Not many do tbh.
Barry Bannan does. That's his best feature

Perhaps he wouldn't allow the club to give him short sleeves. Now you mention it I did hear something about the kit team telling him he was losing his long sleeves and him shouting "IM NOT LOSING MY SLEEVES, THEYRE JUST A BIT THIN" I think they all agreed to just keep the sleeves instead of digging in to why he had his outburst.

I was with someone long term (which eventually ended in disaster), so never called her. She was an absolute stunner too. I don't think my mate expected me to actually do it, I'm really shy. The shirt has sentimental value though and some pleasant memories attached.

On the bright side, in some parallel universe this stunner is the mother of several baby Sonics.

No regrets, I landed on my feet in the end. Pub bird is a perfect memory and she'll never know that I'm not usually that smooth, and most times my mouth opens my size 9 ends up in there. I'll never know that she has 'Live, Laugh, Love' on her living room wall and watches Love Island. Or whatever equivalent shit there was 25 years ago.

A round neck is wank for a football shirt. The ā€˜Blades’ on the collar looks as naff as the sponsor as well.

We’ve not done fluorescent with red since the original. Needs doing.
While I'm all for that, Bristol have done 2-3 throw backs to their purple and green legendary away kit in recent years, and most have looked wank. I expect the away kit will be a poor attempt a popular design. Don't hold high hopes.

Live, laugh, love šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ Jesus Christ, is there owt worse??

That’s because it’s shit
True, it's a perfect example of a poor quality shirt. That Blades bit in the collar looks and feels like a cheap tagged on afterthought, the club badge has a weirdly oversized red ring on it, the collar, cuffs and Le Coq branding in the arse are rough and scratchy. To look at it's fine, to wear it's bloody awful.

Agree with all lot of the comments on this shirt.

Pros
Stripe width
Stripes on the sleeves and back
Pinstripes

Cons
Shit fabric
Shit sponsor
Collar was like a turtle neck and several players ripped the 'blades' bit off as it was too uncomfortable to play in
