Thoughts on the kit?

Can someone please explain to me why it matters whether it's bespoke or a template?
Some people prefer originality and something different. Others are OK with the same shirt as other teams but with different colours and a badge being the only major difference. I prefer the former. Each to their own.

Because people have been told that templates are bad but in reality, all our best kits have been templates and bespoke means we are putting someone like Betis in charge of designing our next kit
Who is it that is telling people templates are bad? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Some of us want to see something creative, something different. Fed up of seeing adidas crap, same old rubbish, zero creativity. Let another brand have a go. And that is my own opinion, nobody has influenced me!

Creative/different does not = good. See the Avec era.

There is a trade off between creativity and quality for a team like us. Looking at the Boro shirt, its a fine design on paper, but its clearly lower quality than Adidas. I expect the same for us. Decent designs, but for those who buy the shirt, they'll get a lower quality product. There is just no way for Errea to compete with Adidas on quality without the cost of the shirts going through the roof.

Errea is like the Gola of the trainer world, we are going to get bog washed for not being able to afford the latest clobber

Even Gola trainers are 70 notes these days 😮

We could be playing in the same kit as the Red Lion from Sunday Imperial League, or we could be playing in a one off designed specifically for Sheffield United. Tough choice tbf.

Inflation really has got out of control

Template has got to be the most misused word in football kit dialogue.

I hope someone with a design background is involved in the process and its not left to the business heads to sign off a bespoke kit. Really worries me how wrong that could go.

This kit better look good then cos Bettis is dangling them out there for a kicking if it’s shite.

In honour of the news breaking, I'm wearing this season's outgoing Adidas shorts. To remember the quality.

I expect things to get very cheap and tinpot from here on in...especially in terms of training gear and apparel.

But surely the colour and badge are the only things that matter? That makes every kit different from one another doesn't it? I don't see how having the same width stripes and the same shape collar as another team makes any difference, or is even noticeable unless you're looking for it.

And if you want something different it's probably not wise to buy the exact same shirt that literally thousands of others will be buying in the first place.
