Not only hideous, it looks very poorly made. The cuffs on the sleeves look terrible.

We're going to get some form of red and white stripes (I bloody hope!), so one of the main differentiators will be the quality of the kit and the training gear.

Thing is, that's just the price of kits. People have paid it long enough so why change. If they reduce the price they're admitting the quality is compromised and they've focused more on cutting costs instead of quality for the players and good quality for the replicas.

It could be made out of the tracing paper you get between the folds of a Matalan shirt, it would still be £50

I'm surprised it's only that much. I recall paying £40 for a shirt when beer was less than two quid a pint. As inflation goes, that's not too bad

Yep, it was as much about the quality. That neck thing is terrible and just generally looks really cheap. That said, it doesn't bother me from a consumer viewpoint, just how it appears on't pitch
