If anyone who is loyal enough to get tickets but isn't actually going would like to help out someone who isn't and is, could they drop me a PM?

I think you've summed up your part-time status very nicely there Raul. I'll ask Brentford to roll out the red carpet, they should have somat suitable. See you there, up The Blades!

Do we think the tickets will sell out before they reach general sale? Not sure I have enough points to get one any earlier!

brentford beat carlisle 4-0 tonight
that means we are 16 points clear of 7th and not making the play offs
and some said we wouldnt get top half

Thanks all much appreciated .

Have a feeling this one might sell out. Quite a few united-ites I have spoke to have said they are going. Brownie put a thread up saying that he thought some people might be disappointed.

We've got approx 1700. I would hope that the club has the option for more. Especially as there home attendences have been low and there will be spare capacity. I guess the other question is how quickly the tickets sell. Win at the Sty and we might see a few people making the extra effort. Did we sell out our allocation at Orient? I know we sold best part of 3k at Charlton, but they sold slowly (though that could have been post xmas) and it was the biggest game of the season.

I am planning to go and was going to work until the day before general sale.

Oh and looking at last night this good be a cracker. I did not think much of Brentford when they came to BDTBL. However it will be a different story at their place. Carlisle are no mugs (Christams time at their place shows that) and Brentofrd thumped them. I hope K Mac is back by that point!

I think this is the first time I've purchased seating tickets instead of standing.

That's because you're old.

I'm stood up for this one but on my own so far. Everyone else wanted to sit.

It is catching up with me :(

I want to stand up, but I've seen pictures of the view from the bottom tier and it's really poor. Hopefully I'll be able to stand up in the top tier!

Ive bought 10 today , all for standing , we are all old school ,for our annual london weekend away ( last 3 Palace , palace and QPR defeats). One of the lads has been recently though and says its a decent view standing.
Beamback will sell out either later today or tomorrow apparently ,I was offered £80 for my pig ticket in the car park today.

We've had train tickets for a couple of months, so I hope we're able to get match tickets (got to wait until general sale pretty much due to differing points). Could always go in their end if not.

We're standing Mouse, I understand a lot of girls are getting tickets in the seating instead.

Buying 3 tickets thursday, and as getting old am hoping will be seats still left then. ;)

Why? Surely differing points totals is irrelevant when for standing tickets. There won't be any seats by general sale day.

You need to be on Brentford's database to do that - ie must have bought a ticket before.

I have a wonderful London accent , not a trace of Sheffield in it so if anyone wants to give me their credit card details I'm happy to order from Brentford for them once they sell out :)

Excellent! I'm just concluding a deal with a Nigerian businessman who contacted me via the internet, which should see me financially set up for life. As soon as that's done, I'll be back in touch :-)

Just spoke to the ticket office. All the seats have sold out, but there are a thousand tickets left on the terraces. Starting to get nervous now. Does anyone have a spare senior citizens membership with loyalty points going spare?

You sure a thousand left? Allocation was 1,700 wasn't it of which 700 were seats?

Mic,

Brentford say they won't send a car for me. What time are you picking me up?

Surely once they've gone there'll be an extra allocation? Have a look at Brentford's average gate against their capacity. Can't imagine they'd pass up on the extra 25k or so an extra 1000 tickets would bring.

You would think (and hope) so. Brentford's capacity is more than 12k and average attendence less than 6. Highest attendence is around 8000, so it is likely to leave at least 4k tickets spare.

However when I asked the girl at the ticket office she said there was no option of an extra allocation (she was a bit of a numpty mind). I've e-mail the ticket office stating the above and asking if there is any chance of an extra allocation.

There could be a police issue - maybe the police won't let them have any more United fans in on the basis that the stadium is not structured to keep the extra United fans "safely" apart from the Brentford fans.

Well, when there's significant numbers sat amongst them won't that be a bigger police issue?

Apparently not. In my lawyer guise I have raised this particular point when trying to judicially review council/police decisions to restrict away fan allocations. The police and clubs are supremely confident that they can stop this happening.

What's the point of 2 of the 7 who have train tickets already, getting a match ticket and then the rest not being able to get one? That is why.
