Could mix some local headlines in "Sheffield man has square go with fish"
AyeInstead of the random print on the last one, maybe have famous quotes in faint writing over the shirt such as “Bashams’ arriving” or “A quality goal from a quality player”. I’m sure someone who is clued up could make a knock up effort.
you forgotAye
As long as it includes:
“Lundstram you idle cunt”
“Montgomery you’re shite”
“Gerrit Forrad”
Wouldn't need to be a series of quotes just on massive one that says "oh for fucks sake"Aye
As long as it includes:
“Lundstram you idle cunt”
“Montgomery you’re shite”
“Gerrit Forrad”
Which is why we seem to have gone with Errea, a company known for their stand out defining designs.
God I hope it's got a huge Blades cross scimiters on one side.I think Errea are known for individual design rather than template, which is good and positive. But I can 100% guarantee it will not be unique and defining, it will have been seen before in some form, realistically how much innovation can there be in a red and white striped shirt?
Tell you what, when the shirt is released, quote this on that thread when the first post mentions "too much like Brentford/Soton/Southampton/Sunderland/Lincoln/Exeter/Bilbao or whoever. I'll donate to the site if it isn't on the 1st page.

Ok, a huge picture of the lane on the back. You just confirmed my original post on this. The only unique part of the shirt will be the club badge.
Sorry, but that is as naff an idea as Wednesday having WAWAW on their collar.

Basically, what your stuck on, is, whatever happens, if it's got red and white on, your going to think it looks like every other red and white shirt.
But as you said yourself, your now at an age, where I'm guessing, you wont be the one going into the shop, all excited to get your hands on the new shirt??I'm not stuck in it, I'm just saying it's the law of diminishing returns. With the number of teams wearing red and white stripes globally combined with all clubs changing shirts every season, originality is almost impossible and so replication is inevitable. As I've said, I don't really understand the desire and obsession to have our identity in a unique shirt design. Red and white stripes with our badge on is unique in my eyes and the design looking like Sunderland or Brentford is a "so What?" for me.
As long as the away jersey can have"SIDDARN"
But as you said yourself, your now at an age, where I'm guessing, you wont be the one going into the shop, all excited to get your hands on the new shirt??
So obviously, the design, all be it for all, will be aimed at fulfilling, the wants of all age groups of supporters.
Times have changed, manufacturing processes have changed, styles and design change monthly.
A unique shirt is well within the realms of possibility, it's all down to the persons that design it, and I'm guessing it will be decided by a group of middle age men, sat around a table.
But everyone of them will have a different idea of what they want it to look like.
He’s at an age where if he goes into the kitchen and remembers what he went in there for he’s excited. But as you said yourself, your now at an age, where I'm guessing, you wont be the one going into the shop, all excited to get your hands on the new shirt??
I agree, but I'm also saying it is never achieved. There will be those that love it, those that hate it, those who have decided it's shit cos the brand ain't legit and there will be those that say it looks like another teams shirt from 2003 or whenever. Unique is almost impossible, and universally liked never will happen. You can stick a few slogans on it, like WAWAW bollocks, or a subliminal representation of the old BL pavilion into the shirt but someone will still see it looks like Lincoln's shirt. I get it's important for some and that manufacturer's need to proclaim something unique to sell it, but I never seen anything but token tinkering to justify it.
Your wrong, NOTHING CAN BE UNIQUE!!The only real "unique" shirts these days are the likes of Sampdoria and Monaco etc.
Sampdoria are technically just a plain blue shirt, but that band across the middle makes it unique.
You also have River Plate and Peru that go for the sash and never seem to steer away from that.
The only way we could be "unique" with red and white stripes would be to incorporate something totally different like the use of 1 Black stripe for example. Then have the black stripe on every shirt to make us different.
Would probably look toss like![]()
Haven't a clue mi sen I think I've seen it mentioned 5x if thatI'd love a scenario whereby the entire football world asks itself what the 'WUEDP' on the Sheff Utd collar back means while everyone on here just nods and smiles knowingly.

Having looked at the full size images of that new Port Vale shirt the stitching making up the Errea logo and the Port Vale badge looks so cheap and tatty.
Really not looking forward to this new set of shirts.![]()
They've got a mental to design some sleeves and stitch them onto a white shirt. What's not to like?!Having looked at the full size images of that new Port Vale shirt the stitching making up the Errea logo and the Port Vale badge looks so cheap and tatty.

Srentford, Sincoln.Definitely an age thing.
But it sets us apart from, Brentford, Stoke, Sunderland, Southampton etc.
Funny how majority of the red and white shirts are worn by teams from cities beginning with 'S'.
