Thoughts on the kit?

Well, I, as many others, probably under 50/60's prefer the black pinstripe. In my opinion, it makes the shirt look better, otherwise, it just seems to make the shirt look too red?

And the shirt should be a defining difference, having a generic shirt in this day and age is just daft.
Surely you want the shirt to stand out?? Why would we want to be the same as another club??
Should have thought about that before adopting red and white striped then. White with red pin stripes would be unique, and we had it before red and white stripes.

Most people hate that shirt from 2015

Ok, I never understood why the arms never seemed to match, and they also never seemed to be able to properly centralise the stripes, but, again, your missing the point.
It's an iconic Blades shirt, and the perfect template to use for the new ones.
Iconic? Yes. Perfect template? In as much as it’s got red and white stripes, yes. But most of the home shirts in the past 133 years have had red and white stripes.

As far as the away one we’ve had lots of different colours. I like the white ones, and the lairy bright ones, but we’ve had some nice black ones too.

The homage shirt was a shocker, coupled with a shocker of a season.

It's a complete folly to even contemplate a unique shirt design or feature defining a club. I showed 6 clubs wearing red and white (there are more), with shirt manufacturers needing a new design every season, do you seriously think there will be a design feature not used on those others in red and white stripes? Unless you have a unique colour or feature (Croatia for example) things will get copied across the board. I keep an eye on this thread and full credit to mattbianco1 and a few others for coming up with different ideas and designs, but I've lost count of the times a new kit goes up and there is a comment saying, "too Sunderland/Stoke/Brentford/Southampton/Lincoln/Exeter". Inevitable, because the proliferation of shirts needed means the only unique stand out thing about a shirt is the badge.
Which is why we seem to have gone with Errea, a company known for their stand out defining designs.

That's the problem though, our away shirts are always allover the place.
The white shirts in the 90's were the 3rd shirts, with predominantly yellow/dayglo away, and red and white home.
Personally, I liked the thin red/white/black striped shirt, that accompanied the yellow shirt above, which also had a matching white 3rd shirt, but then we had the dark blue, with green/purple sash, accompanied to the green 3rd, I liked all those shirts.
I'm now guessing that the owners will choose some strange design for one or the other shirt this season?
Hopefully it's not too far out.

I might have dreamt this, but back in the day did we often play our last home game in the following seasons new home shirt?

We did the season we got promoted back in 2006 - wore the new Premiership kit at home to Crystal Palace on the final day - and lifted the second place ‘shield’ wearing it.

This includes an interview with someone from Hummel - interesting on kit design and supply process (including lead times). They bespoke everything. Also bonus info on rugby league kits! (starts about half way in)

Does anyone have any idea even roughly when the kit, training kit, etc will be in store? It always strikes me as odd when teams don’t have it available to buy before the summer as loads of people would buy them for holidays wouldn’t they?
Aye
I have it on good authority that we’re in negotiations to open a store in the departure lounge @ Manchester airport 🤔

Rang the store last week as I wanted to order some tshirts for the summer to be told by a very helpful assistant that they hadn't a clue when they would be getting stock in,she was blaming Brexit,i thought that was all done 🤔

“We’re all Remoaners at the Lane…”

Would buy anything that has been made by Hummel.
Now that stuff is certainly more unique…and hark back to the best pair of footy boots I had as a lad.
Shame we haven’t signed up with them.

Can we just get on with it?

Surely it's the time to just get it released? The new season starts next month!

Why be last? Not as if it will be a great surprise that Errea are taking over. Worst kept secret ever!

Unless we are just desperately trying to flog the final adidas garments and we can't have both in the club shop at once.

Instead of the random print on the last one, maybe have famous quotes in faint writing over the shirt such as “Bashams’ arriving” or “A quality goal from a quality player”. I’m sure someone who is clued up could make a knock up effort.

Sorry, but that is as naff an idea as Wednesday having WAWAW on their collar.
