As an out of towner can anyone tell me what the weather is doing in Sheffield? Any threat of tomorrows game being off?:)

It'll be the surrounding areas which get the game called off but assuming the council is anywhere near organised it should all be gritted.

It was the Elf and Safety police that I was worrying about, who would call it off on the fear that somebodby slips and sues on the way to the game.

I loved the good old days when roads didn't get gritted, we still got there, and they cleared the lines on the pitch and played with an orange ball!!

Having been past your HQ this morning - it's not as bad in S2.

And the trams kept on running. They didn't seem susceptible to snow and ice.

It's when I tried to get a Victoria line train in the snow a couple of years back only to find that it was running with severe delays owing to the weather conditions that I got really frustrated.

The Victoria line is completely underground with the exception of a spur at Seven Sisters to the marshalling yard. Given that this was mid-afternoon, they shouldn't have needed to go above ground, so why would the snow impact on the service??

They can postpone 'em all for me, play 'em on a tuesday night instead then I can attend ;-)

They were probably short of tube drivers Door Operators due to them not been paid a bonus payment when it's slightly more difficult to get to work.

Cheers Raul, just spoke to the out laws in Sheffield to be told there is nothing, which probably makes this thread seem like a complete over reaction! (It did snow for 6 hours in east yorks yesterday and generally if we are getting it Sheffield is getting it too).

Just turn up you set of puffs....honestly...a bit of snow. Satdi..drove from woodseats to ecco in the snow no problems. Shefield now is full of gayers.

Might wear a coat tomorrow.
