Imagine defending utter scum of the earth that think it's OK to stand on the advertising hoardings and call the call the entire kop wankers after being booed for being an entitled bellend. I'll state again how he wasn't ironed out the minute he stepped back into the stand is beyond comprehension.

Also I never stated anyone running on the pitch should be banned, just that was the rules.

I bet you're OK with a lot of the behaviour seen at away grounds nowadays as well aren't you!
Read back through my posts , I said the bloke on the kop was a tosspot. As for the rest being scum of the earth , that sounds a bit strong for majority children running on some grass.

What behaviour at away games would that be if you want to start judging me ?

How strange are you pal ? that’s twice you have assumed things about me .I dare have a different opinion so the thread must be about me.What a bizarre statement.

Up to now you have told me I like the Barry bannan song and said I think this thread is about me 😂 You seem to know a lot about me , but yet got both assumptions wrong.

Very very strange me old cocker.

1977, Scotland won 2-1
I started going to England games at Wembley around that time. But stupidly, I didn't keep a proper log of which ones. My feeling is I wasn't at that one. My England away log is much better - I was at Hampden in 84, 85 & 87. Man, those were proper full on Football occasions.

Noone could be against a full pitch invasion at the clinching of any real success.

What we saw sat however was a handful of scratty dregs needlessly showing off and in some cases pimping out their offspring to beg for shirts. It was just classless trampy behaviour and looked utterly tinpot shit.
The pitch invasions during the May 5th Match at Leicester still bring a smile to my face this day.

I think you have summed up Saturday’s events most accurately

I haven't got a problem with a good natured pitch invasion. I did it at Leicester back in the day. Don't feel I could manage it now because by the time I got down to the pitch, next years fixtures would be out.
It all seemed to be chabs and chavs. Nothing to see here. All very quick to return to where they came from once the scroungy shirts had run out.

Raincoat fatty on the other hand needed kicking out. Trying to give it the big 'I am' and wanker symbols right in the face of the only steward who seemed to be doing his job? I admire his restraint, I would have struggled to show the same restraint. It would have made my day to see her get pepper sprayed.

Didn't see Tracksuit-wanker so can't comment but sounds like a right pot prick.

I remember back in the day there was always a mini invasion on the final whistle as the players sprinted down the tunnel. After everyone went back to their seats the players would come out for their lap which would degenerate as it passed the Kop and bigger numbers ran on ending it then and there as the players scrambled to get back down the tunnel.

Read the post again. I didn't call everyone who went on the pitch Scum of the Earth just that Icon tracky wanker.

Plenty of shit behaviour by some of our away following nowadays.

Entitled pricks sitting/standing wherever they want so as to be next to their mates instead of their own seat then starting aggro when asked to move is my personal bugbear but there's a hell of a lot more you could pick as well.

This reminds me of May 1986 whilst I was at a Scunthorpe United match versus Chester City.

Scunny scored, and as it was an end of season game, there was a mini pitch invasion and my stepdad (who was I guess mid 40s at that time) went to climb over the wall at the Old Show Ground to be told by a nice policeman "aren't you getting a bit old for that"? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

With what we've seen over the last few years and months, I think some perspective needs to be drawn.
Whatever bellend type behaviour happened last week, I am going to stick my neck out and say there are actual scum on the earth who far surpass some pissed up bloke doing a wanker gesture.
Unless you think its equivalent to bombing schools with people sheltering for their lives.

The sooner this thread falls off the site the better.

Can we just enjoy what is happening rather than this being the top thread???

Yes

Given our Groundsmans desire to water the pitch constantly (leading to numerous slippages in the last two games), why not bang the sprinklers on at the end of the match? That should deter most pitch invaders who can't listen to, or read instructions. If this doesn't deter them, then they'll be easy to nick afterwards as they'll be soaked, and that evidence would be pretty hard to deny.

Groundsman happy

SAG happy

Majority of fans who wait patiently for the lack of appreciation lap happy

Win / Win / Win

Problem solved

Banana skins on the concourse. Problem solved. :)

Despite losing on Saturday, a bloke still dragged his three kids onto the pitch, confronted one of the players, think it was MGW and asked for his shirt. If you are reading this pal you are a tosser, bad enough at any time but doubt the last thing players want in those circumstances is to be confronted by the likes of you and your spoilt brats.

Agreed. It wasn't me btw. 😁

From the Clubs perspective, to allow a pitch invasion would be high risk in terms of health and safety to both fans and players/ stewards, damage, maybe criminal damage maybe others. In the past it may have been condoned but these days on top of all that the club is trying to orchestrate a corporate event, bells whistles, loud music razzmatazz .
They can’t allow pitch invasions now can they …..,,but it’s a shame.
I’ve done it a few times. Some of the best ever times supporting United with my kids. And you? Is that it now?

I think it's ok when we've won something (count them on the fingers of one, solitary hand), or it's the very last game of the season, and all the players are off on their jollies a few days later. The issue seemed to be that this was before the play offs.

I found out from Facebook who the bloke was and he is a total twat, however the mother of his kids is stunning.
