Does anyone have a video? I feel like I missed out.

I've spoken against people on here sensationalising smoke bombs been set off, describing them as flares. Most aren't flares, they are pretty harmless smoke generators, don't get hot don't have any flame.

The thing set off on the South stand side of the kop was a real flare. They burn very hot, designed not to go out when wet etc.
Very dangerous, would cause a really bad burn, probably to somebody not involved.

Setting that off in the ground is way OTT. They need to have a good think about the chance of something going badly wrong, especially to other people.
Yeah that was a 'Nautical Distress Flare', look brilliant, especially at night, but really should stand away from others on the steps and ensure your not too pissed

🤣🤣 fair play to you. They say there is someone for everyone and I hate to sound shallow, but I wouldn’t ride that into battle!
She’s kind to dogs and old people. Don’t judge a book by its cover

That's exactly what I saw ,so why do folk on here make out like he launched it into the the crowd ....sensationalist bullshit
It is possible of course they are referring to another person?

Others have commented one was thrown.

Pity it didn't hit that thick twat of a poster who thinks it's funny to joke about serial killing.

Since they burn for about a minute, giving off a huge plume of coloured smoke and for proper affect need to be held aloft above the heads of fellow supporters, I would assume that igniting one, whilst also hoping to escape detection and a potential banning order, is a bit of a long shot and not really a risk worth taking?

Which begs the question…. Why? 🤷🏻‍♂️
He was part of a large group that just stood in the aisle at the top of gangway B all game. When he put the flare down and legged it, he melted away into the crowd. No one will id him because him and his mates didn’t go to their seats and the stewards couldn’t care less.

No idea if this is what happened on this occasion but our fans have done it before. It happened at Barnsley away a few years ago.

I love to see the flares and smoke bombs if used correctly and not launched in to crowds , like someone mentioned why do the stewards approach when surely they could just hang back lull the kid in to a false sense of security then have a word. Not just united fans with idiots even the posh lads from the West end of London have them ,someone from the Fulham end threw one of those extremely loud bangers that landed inches to the side of a young steward , he jumped out of his skin , not surprisingly as most of us on G and H did too , fair play to the lad though he didn't make a meal of it

Also coincided with a Fulham dive, perfect timing as if he’d just been shot.

If its held above the head until it dies out ...or 4 seconds after being lit gets thrown on the ground emitting smoke up wards into peoples faces ...I'd say its less harmful to folk when it's held aloft .just my opinion
I don't disagree it's just the lot less more of a danger that Is funny it makes absolutely no sense as a sentence

The flare that I saw was definitely in the middle of the crowd, not in the aisle. I know because it was directly behind me, though quite a few rows back, and I don’t sit anywhere near the aisle.

Anyone see the chap stood on the advertising boards telling the kop to ‘suck his dick’ while doing a spunking movement with his hands. Really wanted him to be chinned

Yep. He was the one I'm mentioning here. If I'd have been on the kop he'd have got a clip that's for sure. Utter bellend!

He’s identifiable. Track him down, find him and ban him. Scum.

Or what’s the point of all the hi definition cameras and all the banks of ‘do nothing but watch’ stewards.

Hmm? Hmm? Hmm?

Yep that's the one I'm on about. How someone didn't iron him out is beyond me.
So being on the pitch and making masturbation gestures to your own fans aren’t offences??? As somebody else said what’s the point of cameras and stewards and pitch encroachment rules if nothing is enforced. Find him and ban him. Horrible specimen.

Booing the guard of honour was silly too, I thought, as well as churlist. It could have fired them up for no reason whatsoever. Obviously it didn't pan out that way, but still.
Part of me thought that, but then I think we just needed to make the lane a cauldron. If they were in any doubt whether they wanted to play football or wanted to be on holiday with their feet up basking in their trophies, the atmosphere probably sealed the deal.

Yeah I can see that argument too. The timing was unfortunate, as it came right as it was building to fever pitch and there's a polite little interlude in the middle.

I thought it was interesting that when Fulham came onto the pitch, among the polite applause from our team, MGW stood with his hands clasped firmly behind his back. No clapping from him, he was out on the pitch to win, not be friendly.

2:01 onwards the idiot that gave it the biggun to the kop goes past the 1st line of "security" and goes and gives it large in front of the 2nd line. Unfortunately the video doesn't show him on the advertising boards giving the wanker movements to the whole kop.

Few of them want their collars felt by social services.

“Fuck everyone else, as long as my kid gets to beg John Egan for his shirt which will then get stuck straight on eBay”.

That fat cunt lass gobbing off at that steward was fucking embarrassing. Why is there always some idiots who can’t follow simple instructions.
Yea saw this from Kop, think there were 2 of them? One was in stewards face and gave him wanker sign which was final straw for our section of crowd and she got thrown a lot of abuse to piss off back to her seat

Urgh smokes and flares. Seeing this more and more and just don't get it.

As for shirt begging cunts - well if I was a player I'd make a point of either not acknowledging them or giving it to someone directly next to them.

Am I missing something here ? Why is everyone getting so precious about a tiny pitch invasion last home league game of the season. It’s happened since I started following football.Although taking begging signs onto the pitch is a bit beggy.

The snitching and calling out for bans and prosecution is way over the top.
