I don’t know his wealth, no one does 😂 that’s the problem. If he had any though, it wouldn’t be hard to find.

You and Chingo are a match match in bladey blade heaven. If towd Henry passes the EFL checks (gulp) then there might not be bladey blades for much longer though.

AFC Sheffield United had a ring to it…
If he passes the checks, that means he's shown proof of £115m plus the ability to sustain the club. Why gulp at that? Surely that should be what we all want? Or would you need the EFL to run it by you first?

There's every chance you're right and he hasn't the money to do this. If I was to guess I'd say its 50/50. If he passes the checks, he's being backed by someone else imo. That doesn't necessarily mean we'll be watching AFC Sheffield United in 5 years

There's clearly a lot of fans who are sceptical and that's fair enough, but I don't know that sticking with what we have is any better either! In the time the Prince has been in sole charge we've seen little development in the training ground - we're still using the dated and tired old sports ground that resembles a working men's club, or the ground, the academy is still cat 2 and whilst that's not the end of the world if we wanted to do the "make our own" approach and sign decent younger players than surely we'll need a cat 1 academy, or at least vast improvements on the existing training ground. And what has happened to the training ground new building that was promised!?

I think if the Prince stays we're set for years in the Championship quite honestly, it'll take a fee years for the younger players that we're developing/signing to come good.

Then we look at the last two transfer windows under the Prince. The Prince has stated before that he prefers permanent signings and I recall Hecky saying the same yet we've not signed one over either window and that to me is not good business as we're just developing other club's assets. This pre-season gone if we'd signed a few permanent players we may now be competing for the top two, as we should be as a relegated club, instead we're barely in the top 6, granted we've had bad injuries but I think we all would agree that we needed some reinforcements to this team, nothing major, and obviously finances are tight - I get that, but you only get one chance as a relegated team before more join us the next season with their parachute payments.

So, in conclusion, I'm optimistic to hear of a takeover because the alternative will be stagnation in all likelihood. It's basically back to the days under McCabe where we needed more investment, which of course, led to the Prince joining, but then we were skint and in league one, you can argue that it has led to an upsurge, although most of that was due to Wilder.

That's not to say, despite what it might sound like, that I'm anti the Prince staying, I just thing he clearly wants out and he's not likely to invest much unless we get promoted and that's the club's money anyway.

I think you are confused, we want a new owner but just not this American ghost with no money.

You really don’t have to declare your wealth to the public. Most celebrity net worth articles are completely inaccurate. This idea that if you’re a billionaire people know your financial situation is bizarre.
We aren't talking actors or footballers. There's a Forbes billionaire list. He's not on it. Nobody knows a billionaires exact wealth. But there are no secret billionaires.

There it is. That final line. Lewisham logic; everything will eventually turn to shit.

The only hope is he is just the frontman for a group that do have money.

Some of my wealthiest customers during my 30+ years as a bank manager spent millions to prevent anybody from finding out how much money they had. Whilst the authorities knew about it, there is no way that “outsiders” would ever find it and rich lists are a pure vanity project.

and more, Tottenham fan (could be worse). It all sounds good to me has real money.

"Henry Mauriss has a deep interest in English football and is a Tottenham Hotspur supporter. It's a sincere offer.

He's observed how his fellow countrymen Werner and Henry revitalized Liverpool and turned them into one of the world's most powerful powers."

There's signs that's the case. Even looking at our own BongleBlade who 2 weeks ago said it was a consortium. The initial reports from the media early yesterday said there was many moving parts which suggests more than 1 party. There's clearly more to this

Anyone else think Mauriss and the house of Saud are one and the same?

Suadi frowned upon buying Newcastle originally so in steps Mauriss, but drags his feet regarding buying until the Saudi situation resolved then disappears.

If this is a way for the house of Saud to own two English clubs on the downlow i would be pretty happy.
what is the advantage of them owning two clubs when they will not be allowed to compete with each other

I'm not confused, I'm saying that if we stick with the Prince the one we have is an owner with no money and I can only see us another Stoke or Cardiff finishing midtable at best for years, or worse. I don't want a rogue owner either, I'm not desperate for this guy or anyone else to takeover, but I do believe we're set for several years out of the PL if we stay as we are under the current model of sustainability, which sounds great and it is in many ways it is, but it will mean we'll not be front runners to get promoted - in my view for many years. We need some investment, not Chansisri silly money without thought, but investment is needed on and off the pitch that the Prince doesn't have. I very much doubt this guy is potless, we knew from the off that the Prince as not a game changer financially.

Genuine question, where's the evidence that this guy has "no money". It's reported he is a billionaire, he may or may not be, but if he passes the EFL test than presumably he'll have proven he has the funds.

If that is the case then I am less skeptical, if he is just the person bringing the deal to the club rather than being on his own trying to buy the club with his own wealth.

Look
Let’s just get ‘Catfish’ on the case
He’s yer man…
If nothing else we will have a squirmy video to look forward to to pass the time…😀

No Blade truly knows if it'll happen, or if it'll be good or bad.

Anyone that's rich in America and owns businesses, will have law suits against them whether justified or not.

Rich people can also be low profile, whilst being legitimate.

Rick people can also have many houses and many registered offices, etc. i.e. I'm not sure a 2014 address proves anything.

However, this person wouldn't be the first to fudge a football club purchase. Or be a dodgy dealer overall.

Time will tell, but I'd favour being optimistic - as life doesn't allow much cause for optimism. I do trust the Prince and Giansiracusa still, despite their desire to sell... So crossing fingers.

We have a family friend who would more than comfortably make the Times Rich List. They are not showing on the list and you won't find out their wealth on google or anywhere else. They got it all very legitimately (started businesses and sold them on) and could comfortably afford to buy United at that price. They a number of properties around the world, none is worth less than £3m. Problem is he's a West Ham fan.

McBurnie cant have a bath with that foot as he cant get in with his crutches so thats one down.

After seeing McBurnie run I now have visions of what a swimming McBurnie would look like. Somewhere between a crawl and a butterfly methinks.

I don't doubt it. But billionaires are a different breed
