Millwall have nothing to throw away as they are not in a playoff spot, we are. Btw millwall lost 3-2 away to Bristol City, their away form is poor also. So for me they draw at brum, win at home to peterboro and lose at bournemouth. Thats 4 points. We will need to pick up in form but i do think we will beat cardiff at home, get a point at qpr and god knows what will happen at home to fulham!

I genuinely hope you're right but Birmingham are in complete turmoil and you currently couldn't ask for 2 better games then them and Peterborough. I really struggle to see us winning 2 of the last 3 in current form but there's always hope!

Sign better players, definitely but where will the money come from?
selling what we have that's surplus it's how we've always worked it

Warnock never really had money but brought in about 40 players from 2003 to going up in 2006
admitted won't see many 10m plus players but they didn't help last time of asking

well don't think it's just us
look at the last. 6 form guide
Millwall have exactly 8 points from6 like us. but all those just under us have done worse20220419_122647.jpg

QPR. are well off the pace and were dam lucky to beat derby

Mad to think we’re ruling out the playoffs when our competitors appear to be in similar or worse form. Only in S2? ;)

In which case, you mean that it's harmed our chances, rather than "finally ended our play off hopes".
No I think we will miss out by 1 or 2 points and our failure to beat a poor Bristol City will ultimately cost us a play off place.

so boro losing at home to hull and blackburn losing at home to stoke arent as bad as us drawing at bristol
weve only won 2 of the last 6 but no one from 7th down has won more than 2 in the last 6 either so how are we less likely to stay there

don't get how our fans can see other team win easily when Boro have scored 1 goal in their last 5 games and Millwalls lost more than we have since January
didn't see Blackburn losing at home to stoke. or Boro losing at home. forest looked poor at luton.
all teams are under pressure.
We might just get back players in time for the finish where we have the pole position
Boro have a game in hand but need to score 6 to overtake us on GD
beat Cardiff and it halves the number of clubs who can catch us

Middlesbrough are only 3 goals behind us.

I'm pinning my hopes on a brum backlash coupled with millwall being crap away. I was encouraged by our performance yesterday apart from basham having a brainfart for their goal and us not having a striker!

Millwall go to a terrible Birmingham side (not that difficult)

6) Birmingham City

This prediction is a bold one and I could be left with egg on my face but I am not playing it totally safe and feel that there will be a few teams who make a big upward surge. Birmingham are one. They underachieved hugely for much of last season until Bowyer came in and if he had been there all season with the results they had, they would have been much nearer the top end. Maybe it was a new manager bounce but Bowyer did a really good job at Charlton and is well liked by Blue Noses from his time as a player at St Andrews. He made some excellent signings brining in Aneke from his former club but Woods is a player that has definite quality in midfield. They have used the loan market very well seemingly. Chong is an eye-catching signing (look out for his long hair!) from Manchester United on loan. Castillo is also promising young left back from Chelsea. A few loan players came in from Wolves also. Sanderson, who was linked with United, impressed at the Stadium of Light and is seen as a really good defensive prospect. Playoffs might seem a stretch but they have the momentum and with fans back, City can also improve their home form and I feel if they start well then, they could be one of the surprise packets.

Manager: Lee Bowyer
:)

We were decent first half. All we needed was a striker as a focal point. However, the reason we were decent is that several classier players were on the same wavelength: N'Diaye, MGW, Berge, Fleck, Bash. You'd have to lose one of those to accommodate a striker (or illegally field 12 men) so I'm not sure we'd have the exact same fluency.

It wasike we lost our way at the final hurdle though, noone naturally inclined to be in and around the penalty spot.

You could point to any number of games / performances that have hindered our chances
We should have beaten a poor Reading side at home
Our away performances recently have been dire the Bristol City game was our best performance in a while
The away games at Stoke, Coventry, Millwall and Derby were all worse than Mondays game

I was referring to if we got promoted and the money would be the TV Premier League money. Stay down and it will be much harder to improve on the existing playing staff. I think we'd sign loan players again, perhaps one or two younger players brought in permanently from League One to develop and be squad players to start with. I don't see the youngsters we have making the breakthrough just yet, but Lopata, Brunt, Osula, Gordon and Jebbo etc probably need another year out on loan, hopefully in league one.

Cheers Oli. I'm waiting for you to reply to blade too long on the Hourahane 95th min thread. 🤣🤣. Now, did someone mention the word 'irony'? 🤔
Why would I bother replying to someone that’s beyond the realm of reason?

No, no one mentioned irony. Is is the voices in your head again? Explains a thing or two

Would be what someone who’s losing an infallible argument might say
Argument! You came on here trying to start a row, trying to be a clever bastard. There was nothing to argue about you clown. Not sure how old you are, or if you are mentally stable, as all I see you do on here is argue with others and moan. Are you even a blade? Fuckin weirdo.
