In a completely un-connected story...

On New Years Eve a married footballer took his wife out for dinner in Hertfordshire. After they’d had pre dinner cocktails at the restaurants bar they sat down to enjoy their New Year over a romantic meal. They were still on their starter when a local escort girl approached their table started remonstrating with the footballer.

She accused him of misleading her by not telling her that he was married. The footballer denied all knowledge of her and tried to make out he’d never met her and that she was a drunk with nothing better to do than annoy people.

His wife sat stoney faced throughout until the escort described the interior of the footballers home. It was so accurate she even knew what underwear brand the wife likes. The wife had heard enough she threw her drink into her husbands face and stormed out of the restaurant.

The footballer was so incensed he made to punch the escort in the face but was prevented from doing so by other diners who jumped between him and the escort.

The footballer then turned on one diner and punched him so hard that he broke his eye socket and hospitalized him.

Police were called. Player in the sin bin for the night.
