A very few observations from the stats:

- xG 0.43 v 2.52; possession: 38.4% v 61.6% ; pass accuracy: 70% v 82%. In the main it was possession without purpose, but still a step forward.

- for once we won 10 more aerial duels showing dominance despite McB - and had more than double the number of corners

- our top performers were McCallum (most successful tackles with 4, most key passes with 2, most crosses with 9), Peck (high defensive contribution with 5 aerial duels 3 successful tackles, 2 interceptions) & Hamer (5 shots, 1 on target, most dribbles, most successful crosses)

- O’Hare just shocking. No key passes, no shots, one dribble, no accurate crosses, no tackles

- our attackers barely had a touch (Campbell & Cannon had 18 between them all game). Although I thought Ings offered more

I am feeling a bit mixed up tonight, half depressed, half renewed optimism…..but I have been drinking!

I think you have to be optimistic as the stats show we are improving.
Unfortunately we are a ship without a
rudder, can't beleav we passed Mcbernie up .Just what was Sellers thinking we let Moore go.
I felt that meant for sure Mcbernie was coming in ( Wilder has said Mcbernie offered himself and Sellers wasn't interested).Between themselves the Americans and Sellers have left us with a big headache! With having no focal point (target man if you like) we just don't look like finishing the good work which is improving every match from other areas of our game.
We are in big trouble as we can't score goals! defensively we are looking a lot better ! lack of goals is putting the defence under pressure.
Just hope we are still in touch with other clubs around the bottom as transfer window may come too late to save us from the drop.
This takes a lot to get your head round..

I said last season that COH was a championship Matt Done. He runs around a lot but achieves fuck all.

There is still a lot wrong, both with the confidence of the players (eg Burrows), and the balance of the team. Indeed there is no part of the team which is playing well.

But I am hopeful Wilder is turning it around. - slowly!

Interesting that our top performers bases on stats are players who our 'fans' love to slag off!!

Personally thought McCallum looked much better than Burrows has this season and as soon as Peck as a CF who moves and a No 10 who takes up good positions, he'll be critical to our success!

Also good to see the data backs up the eyeball test in that OHare was terrible. Looked like an U16 promoted to the first team...

Every week I'm just getting more and more annoyed we didn't sign him. The deal was there to be done, apparently he even offered to trial with us, he wanted to come back, and he was good for the dressing room too.

Absolute fucking blunder and whoever passed him up wants sacking.

McCallum saw a lot of the ball. Not sure if that really meant he played well.

The goal summed up his limitations. Where did he thing he was playing? The right hand side lad had acres of space. What made him think he shouldn’t have been so much further towards the touchline?
