Respect for Chris tomorrow

From 1830 tomorrow until kick off, and probably throughout the game, I will be conducting a one man chant of 'Hecky, Hecky knock him out, Hecky, knock him out..' No one likes a yellow-bellied deserter.

Hey - less of the Yellowbelly!

When the likes of Kyle Walker and Harry Maguire and many others came back to BL they received warm applause as recognition of their service for the club. But when the whistle goes they can fuck right off as they aren’t blades anymore.

That seems equally appropriate to wilder as far as I am concerned.

He left a sinking ship via the stern doors, while wanting a pay off. Thanks for the great memories, but Fook him for the way he scarpered
And if he hadn't have put his resignation in 3 times (from as early as October) we might still be in the Prem. Wilder was awesome for us, but when he wanted to leave via the back door, all it did was destroy the squad confidence. A change should have been made at that time.

The rest is history.

Think this game will be a draw.

If we win, and IF he mooches round the pitch after full time, I'll give him a clap. For all the shit he left us with, and in, he gave us a truly incredible 4 seasons that I'm not sure I'll see the like of again as a Blade.

Before and during the match, I'll give him as much notice as I give any other opposing manager, which is to say, fuck all.

Gary Madine would undoubtedly get a well deserved clap. With Wilder it seems like there's a debate if he should even get that. Mental

It still hurts to see him stood on the sidelines with another club, so I'm going to sneak into his house while he's at the game, cut his ties in half, cut the arms off all his shirts, sew prawns into the hems of his curtains and write 'Thanx Ta-Ra' on his bedroom mirror in lipstick.

Question is will he clap us?? If he comes out well before kick off and does that before the game then a small show of respect deserves a similar small ripple of applause for 10 seconds before the game. But no 9th minute nonsense, no distraction to the players, all our support goes to Hecky and the team and when the players are on the pitch then no support should ever be given to an opposition team, manager or player. If ever the Status Quo song needs to lead us out it’s tomorrow night to let no one have any doubt who we are behind. If anyone wants to say thank you to Chris then a letter to Boro or a Sunday Peroni in Broomhill (if he’s still out) should suffice. King is dead long live the King.

What bunch of mardy cunts...The man derserves at least ripple of applause, for getting us out of League one alone. Add to that an amazing 3 season joyride to the top league, which MOST of us will never forget.
So fellow Blades, show a bit of class and give the bloke some respect.

Wouldn’t clap in the 9th minute, but don’t judge him whatsoever for the way he left. Glad he got a good payout as well, he’d been a huge success and gave us some amazing memories.

Would be nice if we can have a moment of respect/applause for Chris tomorrow night

Seen on facebook few mention this , would be nice if we could get a rendition of Allez allez in the 9th minute for the 9th place finish in the premier league as a show of respect to our old boss

Personally I would find it weird to say thank you to him
Not a chance!

Whatever happens, can I appeal to all not to boo him?

That will make us look like the classless shower of cunts Chelsea looked like chanting for Abrhamovic the other day.

Dignity and respect and show him what he's missing at Bramall Lane, how noisy and atmospheric it can be and what it sounds like when we win

pommpey

I would imagine he will give every stand a clap before the game and that will be reciprocated to him by most. As soon as the whistle goes it’s back to supporting my team.

I'm ambivalent to the whole wilder thingy (I hope middlesbrough go down mind 😉)

One minute of furious wanking on the Kop.....

The sensible thing to do would be for the club to do a tannoy announcement just before kick-off. Get him to wander on to the edge of the pitch, give him a round of applause and then just get on with it. Maybe McBurnie can present him with a bunch of flowers?

If he acknowledges the crowd, I couldn’t begrudge the manager who did so much for us a bit of recognition. But it’s football.. when the whistle blows I expect he will want three points off us and we will want to show him what he’s missing (as if he doesn’t know).

He absolutely should get a good reception before the game, still amazes me all these people saying he left via the "backdoor".
He fell out with the owner and couldn't see a way forward with him, that's why he left.

So before absolutely and then that's it.
Afterwards is fine too I guess but we have to focus on us in those 90 mins!

Few things on Wilder I think we all need to know. For those that say he left through the back door, I think we really need to hear his side of the story first. In particular why was there no LCB coming in when we had two weeks to sign one after JOC got injured; Wilder said he needed another, we had to sign another but instead we just made do with Jack Robinson there and with all due respect to Jack Robinson ( deserves a new contract in my view) he wasn't up to playing week in, week out in the PL.

I can't believe he would have left his boyhood club unless he had very good reason to and I don't buy it, before someone says so, that it was because we were bottom of the league and he didn't want the relegation on his C.V, because everyone knows he does, even though he left with three months to go. I'm not saying I don't share the frustration of other Blades in that he heft us, it is hard to not see it as deserting us and why he got a £4m pay off of whatever it is, mystifies me as Wilder has said himself he didn't resign. But again that's something that will eventually come out I'm sure. I find it hard for some of our fans to say say he's a yellow bellied this and that until I know why he decided to leave, it's something we may well have to wait a long time for.

So he'll get a big clap from me when he comes out to take the side-lines. I doubt he'll get a rendition of he's one of our own if honest, I would join in if it got going, he is still one of our own as far as I'm concerned. But the Allez, Allez, Allez would be taking it too far - he's no longer our gaffer for starters.

I would say in criticism of Wilder that I didn't like many of his interviews during the last season, very critical at a time and I think that could have been kept private, but at the same time I don't know what he said to the players also. He doesn't come across as the encouraging type to me, I would guess Alan Knill does that more though and he's half of the management package.

I do hope Wilder doesn't do a Warnock if they win tomorrow night, I'm sure he'll be very tempted to, but if he starts banging the chest and punching his fist, I'll admit that will annoy me, but some on here will say why should it, he's not longer our manager, but to me it still feels like a tragedy that he isn't because I still think he's the best manager we had for a generation.
