The pitch is understandably unusually heavy and slippy at the moment and a number of players lost their footing in the first half against Forest, most notably Gibbs White. It looks to me as though the top layer of the pitch is becoming a problem. That being the case, why do they insist on continuing to water it before, during and after the game? With our players looking a bit leggy at the moment, if anything there is an argument for not having the surface as wet as usual.
