But that's daft, because that would include forces killed in ww1 & 2. There's no need for a separate day. We have Armistice Day, commonly called Rememberance Day, to remember all members of the forces killed in combat. I feel you are being a bit pedantic. Spent Friday night at an army dinner where we remembered fallen friends, last night at an event with current soldiers, many of whom have served several tours in Afghanistan and Iraq and are proud to serve their country all decent young men and women and am now off to the local war memorial to pay my respects. Doesn't matter to me when soldiers were killed, this weekend, in particular they are all remembered.
