I dont get the weirdos who try to act like its something personal cos a player isnt very good and he is called out for it. Surely as a blade you want the best for your team? 7 goals in 80 games for a striker is god awful. Im sure he is a nice kid and I wish him no harm but I expect better for my team, I expect better from someone paid to score goals who doesnt. In an ideal world he shoves these words down my throat and starts banging them in for us. But in 3 years or so he hasnt shown anything that would promise he will. Its my opinion and I would call any player out if I felt they were not good enough.

Weirdos? Really? You say it’s not personal but despite the fact plenty have stated there were other players who were poorer than OMB today once again he’s the immediate scapegoat. Of course it’s personal. Regardless of how he plays you won’t like him. If he played a blinder and scored the winner against Forest next week you still wouldn’t like him. Nothing wrong with criticising a player, I’m the first to admit he’s not been value for money but do we have to slag him EVERY time we lose or fail to score like it’s all down to him?
 
We were poor today, especially in the first half and Millwall were equally poor.
McBurnie did OK but he did fail to make contact for a simple header on goal in the second half.

Reasonable comment.
People throw words like ‘scapegoat’ and ‘blame’ and it’s completely out of context In defence of consistently under performing players.
I don’t blame Mcburnie for anything and he’s certainly no scapegoat for losing.
I just see a poor footballer week in and week out and when he does control the ball I’m pleasantly surprised.
I could easily be swayed with the odd man of the match performance or to see him grab a game by the scruff of the neck even the odd goal…..I’m waiting.
Perhaps I know nowt about football.

A litmus test is also the number of people , who's views i respect , have slowly but surely, over time , without provocation or being goaded , come out with the statement that - McBurnie is crap (or words to that effect) and they feel we are in a weaker position when he is selected , especially partnered with Billy .Their heart and hope sinks before we even kick off.

I know they aren't being personal - when he signed most of the people i know were delighted, based on what he had done to us for others. But - he has changed lots of peoples opinion, based on what they have seen and how they perceive his demeanour .

He has contributed nothing for ages for lots of reasons and thats not personal - its fact .
 
If we are worries about fatigue then you may as well just stick to two sets of forwards.

'A' team - Billy, supported by Sander and MGW.

'B' team - N'Diaye behind a strike pairing of Jebbison and McBurnie.

At least then you have some pace and it might create more space for McBurnie of the Jebbo can pull them around more.

But not Sharp and McBurnie. It just doesn't go.
 
OK so we narrowly lost today, away to a team who have won their last 4 games,, it happens, so lets shape up and ship out....

Bullshit. You have completely disregarded my words and turned it into your own fckin agenda. It isnt about today, none of the lads played well so the loss is on them all, its about 3 fckin years of nothing. 7 goals in 80 games is ok for you for a blades striker is it? And as I fckin said, I hope he does start scoring, im a blade you see. Thats why poor players are not getting a pass from me cos i love the club I have supported all of my life.

What about when he came on against Birmingham and we won? What about when he came on against West Brom and we won? What about when came on against Cardiff and won?

Like I said, if you’d bothered to read my reply properly, he hasn’t been value for money, far from it but I don’t slag players off continually and sometimes for the sake of it. Calm down dear. I don’t need you to tell me numerous times how many he’s scored in 3 FUKKIN YEARS. It’s not enough. Nobody is trying to defend that. He hasn’t been value for money. Nobody will argue against that. Of course you don’t like him! You think he’s shit. I haven’t a problem with that. What pisses me off is how every game turns into the “McBurnie is crap” debate. Even when we fuckin win it just goes on and on. It becomes tedious (and I’m not pointing the finger at you but in general) Suddenly they become McBurnie apologists, fools, weirdos etc… I haven’t got a problem pointing out when a player isn’t good enough/ hasn’t played well/ been a waste of money. Does it have to be after every game though regardless?
 
Do you know what I’ve argued the toss with some lads today on the way back to London Bridge regarding mcburnie and I’ve supported him. However I’ve now had time to reflect and I have to admit that I’m losing patience with him. He seems to offer little threat and has few if any attempts on goal which is a must for a center forward. It might be time to cash in and decide that he’s not the right fit for the blade. I’ll stand my ground and say he’s a decent footballer but not for the blades.
