Question: Can we get him back from his loan? Or, is it too late?
With Bogle, Didzy and others missing, need all the help we can get!

Nope. Free agents, academy kids or lads returning to fitness that's it.

I’ve always thought that It’s crackers how you can’t bring your own players back. 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️😂😂

I think we did, the option was just up half way through Jan.
I wasn’t aware of that W1889.

So when we had RND and Stevens struggling for form or injured we turned down a chance to make sure we wasn’t short in this department?

Recalling Lowe would've meant Forest agreeing and/or refunding the loan fee they paid to us.

Secondly it would've meant having to pick up all his wages again, which if they're anything like the reported figure, isn't tempting.

As far as I'm aware, loan players can theoretically be returned at any time as long as all clauses are met, but the registration window closes when the transfer window closes so we couldn't have the registration transferred back to us anyway.

We had Osborne and Robinson as well. Would Lowe have got a game ?

Not sure Sf, were they available at the time? I know Robinson couldn’t get in the squad for whatever reason and I think Osborn was injured wasn’t he at some point in January?

Not to worry anyway, as the saying goes it is what it is, we’ll probably have to play someone there that can’t play that position which will seriously hinder how we play.

Based on the evidence of his time with us, Lowe couldn't play the position either

I’m not convinced that this could not be achieved .

There are a small number of companies who specialise in dealing with situations such as this , the clear leader in the field being Crab Industries Personnel Reinstatement Solutions Ltd .

I have it on good authority that , whilst their approach to resolving any associated issues may be considered to be somewhat unorthodox , they are at the same time highly effective .

You don’t get a 5 star rating on Trustpilot for nothing .

you know you havent got a pot to piss in when you cant recall your own loan players from a league rival lol… but there we are. I think even if we sold a few more we wouldve probably loaned another cb anyway

Robinson’s ability to cross would make him a reasonable replacement and his height would not come amiss.

I am sure that heckingbottom was quoted as saying that all our young players had gone out on youth loans which provided us with a 24hr recall option if required.
whilst this would effect Lowe all the young lads like those at Southend, notts county and Solihull should have been eligible. Hopefully a question for the manager this week.

A lot of players couldn’t seem to play in their positions in Wilder’s last season and under Slav. I’d written off Norwood, Fleck, Baldock amongst others. Everyone seems to have a new lease of life under Heckingbottom, so I can’t see why we wouldn’t want to see a player given a chance to prove himself. Especially one who is clearly able to play in that position for Forest, if reports are to be believed.

I agree that the evidence is now that he'd be an asset at this level. But getting his wages off the books was definitely a good thing at the time. Especially if it means bringing in MGW, Hourihane etc.

At some point it becomes too many mediocre LWB's in your squad!

You always have been Max Lowe's biggest super-fan.

I'm only going on what I saw for us which was pretty terrible. I'd 100% choose keeping him around over Stevens at this point as it seems like he's doing well at Forest. But I do think the best situation for all would be Forest chucking us £500k in the summer and everyone moving on with their lives. He obviously likes it there and I can't imagine he's in a rush to come back

Which is exactly what happened with Femi in Nov/Dec

500k you having a giraffe. His stats are better than those he achieved before we signed him, 500k does not cover our initial fee surely, regardless of our, supporters thoughts of him we need more than that.

We need his wages off the books. Championship player aren't going for big money. It wouldn't surprise me if he went on a free

Well I've seen Lowe a few times this season and he's bang average, tonight he was very poor for Forest.
Seems a fit lad with a good engine, but I'd definitely cash in and look for someone better

Watched the forest game tonight, first time ive seen Lowe since he left and had been seeing rave reviews, he looked poor tonight no better that what we have

We've got three poor LWBs on our books, we need to get rid of at least two of them and get someone decent in.

Yes bring him back! Bogle Lowe wingbacks ... onwards and upwards! UTB
