I am seriously worried about my life when I read your take and agree with every bit of it !!
Thank you for taking the time after each match .

Whoops sorry

Just re read your post

Thought you said …seriously worried about your wife …..

My bad (as the young folk say)

If MGW doesn’t score or assist then Berge is easily MOTM.

Rated lower than JLT (who had little to do), RND (who played well but again had little to do) and Goode (who came on as a sub).

Tell me these aren’t bait posts.

I agree with Pommps

Berge was good in patches but not brilliant - yet

But he deffo contributed well

This is quite mad.

Gibbs-White was head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch, regardless of his goals and assist - which it's impossible to ignore in any case.

And all our side played well against opposition which never put up a fight.

It's posts such as yours which make people like me respond to this constant over-egging of Berge's qualities - for which we are then called "haters". Whereas, I think he's ok and on the basis of yesterday (and last Saturday) should retain his place, but a fecking superstar he is not.

Good post Pomps. Glad we gave the Swans a good hiding. Never forgiven them for dumping us out of the cup in ..? under Warnock , when he appeared at half-time with a suit on.

A far to sensible report Pommp's, we need more anger and swear words - a bit more sexy and I can cancel my "News of the world" go to read for Sunday morning 😅.

A top win and peformance, we need several more of these if we are going to go up. Well done blades!

had it not been for some shitstoppingly gash finishing

This made me laugh far more than it really should of 😂 😂 😂

Basham 6/10: Not exactly sure what has happened to Mr Reliable, but last two games he has been anything but. When everyone else is playing like shite, Bash usually stands tall to 'Do the Right Thing'. Being as everyone else has now upped their game, he seems to have relapsed. One too many take ons, bad passes and sometimes positionally questionable (if out of position when Baldock went off and he covered at RWB), every bad thing he does - that he doesn't usually do - is noticeable. That 'tackle' he received near the end was savage, and we know, he's not the sort to feign injury. Get well soon Bash.

We sit right next to gangway B on the south stand so this was right in front of us. It really didn't look good at all. Hope it's just a knock that'll wear off after a couple of days rather than something more serious. Agree with your rating though. Not been fully at the races the last few games.

RND 7.5/10: Slowly improving and securing his place in front of the now forgotten (for all the right reasons) Enda Stevens. Great run and ball across the box for Baldock's Thunderbolt.

Didn't really rate him earlier in the season (let's be honest they were all shite) but he's improving game by game at the moment and looks the part now. With our new focus being on self sustaining then he's the exact example of how it will work.

MGW 8/10: Very good game for the loanee if fraught with individual errors which cost him a whole point, such as the daft backheel and the squandered header. He is very much someone we need to break the bank and target at the end of this season because he fits so well into our team. We need to learn the lessons from the past of loanees who can definitely do a job for us who we've simply let go back in the past. He is the top of my purchase list. Fucking buy him. Sell the numpties and steer the cash in to get MGW. His first goal was fucking sublime and his second brilliantly executed.

I really can't see any scenario where Wolves allow him to leave on a perm but IF they did I completely agree we should break the bank to sign him to the point where I'd be happy to see 4/5 players sold to fund it.

Goode 7.5/10: Big fucking lad, isn't he? Showed pleasing levels of control and playmaking. His cross to the area in the second half was JOC levels of excellent

As stated above re where we sit he was right in front of us when he came on and he's an absolute unit. Possibly the biggest player I've seen for us since Tri Dellas.

Great report as usual Pomps. Think Berge possibly deserved a slightly better write up as I thought (chance aside) that he was excellent and floated past players with ease like the ball was glued to his foot. Only my opinion and can totally see why you saw it differently.

I didn’t say he was a superstar, or over egg his qualities. He was the second best player on the pitch yesterday for us, his best performance so far.

But still below players who are praised for doing the basics well.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, it’s a public forum after all, but my point is these “my takes” are becoming more biased toward players both in favour and with credit in the bank.

It happened with Brewster and it happens with Berge. The quicker the price former staff chose to pay for these is disregarded, the quicker we can see the positives they bring.

Yes good atmosphere on the Kop from the of.
I was on the kop yesterday, decent amosphere but no more than that. Nonstop Status Quo for about 15 minutes was a bit much

Yeah, him and his possee. But it's not about the game for them, is it?

Are we discussing the game or personalities on the forum? I seem to have missed the posts of some supposed Sitwell gang looking to make it personal.

MGW was easily MOM ,even without goals and assists ,really hope he learns from that back flick ,thats why hes here I reckon.
Berge is probably being judged on his past performances and looks brilliant because hes usually so ...beige, he was good yesterday but some are going well over the top.
RND was excellent as he was the other night and I honestly think he will be a big player for us in the future. Shirt is for him to lose.
JLT was also very strong ,played himself in ,and personally I prefer him to Davies.

Quality report as usual Pommpey.

Personally, I thought that was the best game I've seen Berge play in a United shirt. I've also got into the habit when Sharpy scores of inwardly singing: "Fallowfield has fucked it up again".

Cant wait for the Blackburn game in a few days time. It was a very good Team performance yesterday where everyone played their part.

Great game to watch, thought everyone played well and 7-0 would not have been a surprising score line, if we had buried all our chances.

One thing I did notice; Charlie Goode can do a Jack Robinson long throw, without even bothering to do a run-up! He also crossed the ball into the box beautifully.

Did you hear a drum beating, or was I hallucinating?

They’ll be fresher given that they didn’t play yesterday.

I agree entirely. But which four? We need the core we ve got. But which of the rest would sell for the amount Wolves would want????

We might not have to sell any players if we go up. Bit of a pipe dream but its more of wait and see what happens/

Impressive, dominating win for United tonight. We looked the better team throughout against a Swansea team bereft of ideas and tactical nous and who resembled the chaotic shambles we were versus Blackburn when we were bummed into the Stone Age by the same result. Swansea's incapability to gain momentum, thread passes or even threaten with any potency was brought about by a combination of pleasing interplay, great pressing and some individual performances worthy of a promotion chasing team. When you think this was largely the team who readily coughed up results last year it is a tribute to Heckingbottom, Lester and McCall and the modified 5-3-2 (minus Wilderball, mostly) and his influential use of key players.

Back came Billy in attack for all the right reasons and the midfield looked, on paper possibly the best we will get out of any combination of available players. The back three obviously unchanged with George regaining his RWB role and RND on the other flank which to me, works. The start was fluid and with intent and we put Swansea under some telling pressure which they clearly looked uncomfortable with. It was only a matter of time before we scored and it has been a long time since we felt that. When the goals came, they were as a result of deliberate, determined and directed play and were executed well. Sure we beat a bereft Peterborough last year but we have never shown this level of confidence and purpose in recent years since the first burst in the PL where we surprised a lot of teams with our belligerent, 'come on then, you fucking cunts' attitude. Today we deserved everything about the win and had it not been for some shitstoppingly gash finishing, it could have been a lot more. Big shame, because as this 4-0 pasting of Swansea is something we can take into Wednesday's game, a 7 or 8-0 drubbing (which is should have been) would actually make Blackburn stop and think 'how do we stop these twats from scoring?' Instead, they'll take stock from Hull and Huddersfield and play careful, patient football and hope to defeat us on the break.

But let's not take anything (much) away from the three points and the fact that we are on an upward trajectory. All areas were good today with some better, some needing polish to finish. If we hope to secure an automatic we need them honed and if we need to get through the gin-trap of the playoffs we need them shining

Foderingham 7/10: Doesn't get any more simply because although he picked the ball off the deck and came and caught when needed, he really didn't have a difficult save to make, testimony of the capability of the defence in front of him. Rewind six months and tell me a different story, why don't you?
Baldock 7/10: Good work from George and a simply fucking thunderous goal, in off the crossbar. Quite what the fuck he needs to be doing picking up yellows and fronting up to risk another is only his guess. Shame he's injured and I hope for a speedy recovery what with Bogle seemingly stricken
Basham 6/10: Not exactly sure what has happened to Mr Reliable, but last two games he has been anything but. When everyone else is playing like shite, Bash usually stands tall to 'Do the Right Thing'. Being as everyone else has now upped their game, he seems to have relapsed. That 'tackle' he received near the end was savage, and we know, he's not the sort to feign injury. Get well soon Bash.
Egan 7/10: Steadfast snuffing out of anything Swansea had up front
Robinson 7.5/10: Another pretty flawless outing for JLT. Good defending, intercepting and hopping forward either out of the line to press, chase and harry or joining the attack with
RND 7.5/10: Slowly improving and securing his place in front of the now forgotten (for all the right reasons) Enda Stevens. Great run and ball across the box for Baldock's Thunderbolt.
Berge 7/10: A pretty decent show from him if still not breathtaking. He was pretty pivotal and Swansea feared his deftness, but really, his end product wasn't scintillating, was it? And loses a whole mark for receiving a pass from their keeper and dawdling badly. If that chance was the difference between a loss or a draw today, we'd be kicking the arse out of Berge no matter what deft dribbles he'd done or bits of possession play he'd displayed
Norwood 7/10: Would have been 8 ... even more ... had he simply sidefooted the open goal into the net rather than cracking it into the kop and made the most of the Swansea defence being all over the shop two minutes later with a free hit from the edge of the box. But ... as much as I criticise Norwood for his squandering via the hollywood pass, today, his ball to MGW was simply flawless. Elsewhere he was busier, more involved in gong forward and defending if typically clumsy in the challenge hence the daft yellow. Without this and his sitters, he's on a 9/10.
Fleck 6.5/10: Decent 'Johnny' Fleck game today from Jon Fleck. Connected well in midfield if not showing much in terms of developing attacking play threatening the Swansea goal
MGW 8/10: Very good game for the loanee if fraught with individual errors which cost him a whole point, such as the daft backheel and the squandered header. He is very much someone we need to break the bank and target at the end of this season because he fits so well into our team. Sharp 7/10: Usual graft from the club captain. Absolutely nailed on Billy Sharp goal (pay attention ... again ... Fallowfield, you chimp) and elsewhere better occupied making Swansea's defence work fucking hard when pressed.

Goode 7.5/10: Big fucking lad, isn't he? Showed pleasing levels of control and playmaking. His cross to the area in the second half was JOC levels of excellent
McBurnie 5/10: Not really much cop was he?
Jebbison unmarked. Didn't get much involvement

Onwards to the Blackburn game. Now in the playoffs, and people talking of automatics. Beat Blackburn on Wednesday and even I will start believing.

Bit harsh on Enda. But
Cheers, Pommps, excellent report. Berge seems to be turning into the player we hoped we had signed. At one point he dribbled down the wing in front of the South Stand, beating 3 players, the first of whom tried to knock him off the ball. In previous matches he would have gone to ground but seems to have put on a bit of muscle and just shrugged the challenge off. Bash was a bit worrying in that 3 times he tried to play himself out of trouble when there was an easy out ball. He lost the challenges and, against better teams, could have put us in trouble. Having said that, it was Bash, so I can forgive him, all players have off days. On the whole, however, I think that was the best we have played in ages. We had confidence, ability and, best of all, pressing all over the pitch. Billy and MGW ran their socks off and, yes, we must break the bank to try to sign him.
Bit harsh on Enda as forgotten man but RND is steadily improving. Deserves his spot. Who between Bogle and Baldock? Would be harsh to drop Baldock after that display but Bogle is the better player. At least we have options. We're in a good moment as they say.
