As commentator said he can't recall such a tall, strong United side. Wtf has changed since Slav? We still don't create or score quality chances from set pieces and corners though.
4 quality goals in one match today though. We’ll develop the other bits.

But got to agree a few years on from Scoogle, Baxter, Quinn et al. Their manager said something like we met a team at the top of its game full of athletes and footballers.

You know things are good when you know we should of had at least 3 more and we won 4-0.

Me and the Grandson were discussing in the pub after the match, whether we build a statue for him this week, or after he has finished his loan spell. 👍

I know from the bitter experience of Brian Howard that a player can look great on his debut if comes off the bench when the game is already won. That said, he looked terrific. Physically very impressive obviously, good on the ball, nice passing, keen to make things happen going forward and solid in the tackle from the first 5 seconds onwards.

All we need now is to work on our corners to make use of this tall team we suddenly have.

Steady on, between the statues and the cars I had to weave like Woody just to get to the Blades Superstore yesterday and these hips ain't what they used to be you know.

No option to buy.

A decent cameo from him and he'll undoubtedly get more chances before the end of the season but suggestions he'll replace Basham are somewhat misguided - as things stand, Basham is likely to be at the club longer than Goode.

I can't see Brentford letting another CB go for peanuts anyway. He'll command a fee only able to be afforded by Utd if they go up or Berge goes for top dollar.

Do we have an option to buy on him?

Sky sports reported that we had an option on him when he signed in January, but Hecky seemed to imply that we didn't and that any long term transfer was down to Utd, the lad, and his parent club in the summer which implied that there was no option and just something that we might revisit in the summer long term.

Im hoping that the Bees stop up this season as they might have moved on from Jonny B Goode and let us take him for a relatively modest fee. Brentford fans liked him but they were suggesting that they thought he had been unlucky with injuries and but that when he had come in he had done very well. That said, it seemed that they thought they had moved on and were now in a league above his level and that their club could be tempted to let him go if they got their money back for him (£1m). That could potentially be very good business. I would like to see a little bit more of him before the summer though but the initial signs are good. Looked a unit and exactly what we were needing at the back.

A massive unit, wants to tackle, wants to get on the ball and use it.

He's a centre half who tries to wrap his foot round the ball when putting it in the box - what's not to like.

The only thing we haven't seen is pace in a 20-30 yard run

Initial signs, look OK.

His arrival from the bench must have added to the Swans complete demoralisation.

At last a player who lives up to his pre-arrival video hype! :)

If he’s as good as his debut suggests, he would be a hero at The Lane.

"Unleash the Beast"!

Bash has been suspect last couple of games to be honest. I’d have no issues chucking Goode in against Blackburn.

Looks a real player, especially with the ball at his feet.

We only saw about 10 mins

Initial signs ok but not raving yet

If he’s not good enough for Brentford in the prem why should he be good enough for us in the prem if we get there

JOC was not good enough for them as he Did not suit the way they played

Maybe they think they already have better for that position or maybe they already have a plenty of big strong brick shithouse centre halves readily available? Or maybe the manager just doesn't fancy his game? who knows? What i do know is that we could definately do with a big strong lad who is dominant in the air at the back as another option especially in the Championship where plenty of rival teams like to throw long balls or long throws into our box at every opportunity instead of playing great intricate football.

Plenty of reasons why the lad might not be a fit at their club and why he could potentially go on to be a top player for us. As you say, early days but the initial look at him was favourable and he could go onto to be a great signing for us if he proves himself. He also seems to have a bit of a voice about him and could be a vocal leader for us at the back.
