That Bogle First Touch

It was a sublime goal, good build up with a quality finish.
Plus a superb Pass from Cheese Burger to King billy and another good finish.

Described it in another thread as saucy. Having watched it back a couple more times I can’t find a batter adjective.

I'm his biggest critic at times due to his poor service into the box ......but that was just beautiful. Pure instinct. Fair play to the lad. Something George definitely would't be able to do.
utb
Me too, but as stated on here; he seems to be able to do things that others can’t ...just before the goal I thought we should have hooked him for George...

It's a Corker, but it's not a Jack Hunt meg.....

I keep replaying it - its balletic 😍😍
My Derby mate has been so disappointed in us not making the most of his talent - well it took time but now he's blossoming into a special player

Awesome how he drags the ball forward with his trailing foot and then toe pokes it through the keepers legs with the same foot 😍

A touch and finish I think even CR7 would be happy with.

I noticed on the highlights it didn't even get a mention from the commentary.

Fantastic goal, great build up and that first touch with his trailing leg was unbelievable along with the finish.
I actually thought he was below par in comparison to recent games..with the ball anyway, as he had to deal with Hernandez, and did ok, but that careless, over ambitious attempt to switch play that ended up with the ball in the back of our net wasn't great, but then he scores an unbelievable goal like that.

It’s the speed of thought that’s so impressive. The pass from Fleck is ever so slightly behind him and the only way he can get it back is using his right foot behind his left. Anything other than a really light touch and the ball gets away from him, it’s exquisite control.

I think he got slightly lucky with the toe poke, the merest touch by the keeper would almost certainly have meant he saved it, or at least blocked it. He deserved that bit of luck.

If the marginal offside decision had been given against Billy we would have been denied the pleasure of seeing a great goal, both created and executed exquisitely, well done lino, that’s why we love football !!

I still can't work out how he didn't trip himself over doing that, I kept watching it back on the replays thinking "has he really just done that?"

Would VAR have disallowed it, or did the goal come in the next phase?

I’ve never thought you can define a phase so it becomes fact rather than opinion.

One by one, Wilder's young expensive signings are starting to show signs of coming good aren't they? Just the other 90% of them to go now and we could have a bright future.
