No discussion, No crucifying just a simple question asking should simmo be dropped and to see if anyone thinks he should stay in goal/

Think he's too costly at the moment. So we'd not lose anything by giving long a go. I think he deserves the chance.

That way it gives Simmo chance to win his place back

He needs dropping, if Long is not considered experienced enough, then why not give Aksalu a go, he has been at the club drawing a wage for a couple of years so why the hell has he been drawing a wage if he is not going to get a chance.

Definite change required - worried that Long is not ready. Need another experienced player in the sticks at this stage

We should get Ian Bennett in....oh wait, we got rid.

Unless we bring in a loan player we don't have an alternative. Long is way off being a first team keeper. He's in the squad because we don't have any other options. People are now starting to question Harry (and Lowton) and beginning to realise that an FA youth cup final doesn't mean they can step up to to the first team. I think Harry and Lowton are ok players and Harry could be really good but Long is nowhere as near as good as these two. Unless we can offload some wages in January we are stuck with Simmo and if he gets injured God help us.

PS Nice one Citeh. The faces of the manure fans in the pub was priceless

Definitely needs to be dropped.

If Aksalu isn't good enough then what's the point in him being here? He's 26 so hardly a kid and won't improve much. He's also played 164 career games and 6 for Estonia, so he's had a decent amount of experience.

I also think Long wouldn't do any worse than Simonsen. Was solid enough at Rotherham in the JPT.

from sportiing life match day live:

90 Foul by Alejandro Faurlin (QPR) on David Luiz (Chelsea). Free kick crossed left-footed by Florent Malouda (Chelsea) from right wing, save (punched) by Patrick Kenny (QPR).

bet it went further than three feet....

What is the option? Because if there is a snowball in hells chance its better then surely Wilson would be picking it right now? The mans no idiot.

I was of the thinking that Long isnt ready but he really cant be any worse than Simmo. We should be sitting pretty with 9 points from the last 9 but thanks to him (and in small parts a few others) we only got 5

I think Aksalu is injured at the mo, hence he isn't getting in - give the lad Long a go I say, he's had a small taste of 1st team football already at the back end of last season, Simonsen must have cost us at least 10 points now, 4 of those coming in 8 days, he is pathetic.

Simmo made 2 incredible saves against the Wendy’s, a match winning save at Preston when the score was 2-2, name me a goalkeeper that makes no mistakes? shilton, Schmeichel, bonetti, Southall, Paddy Kenny and others all dropped clangers week in week out - With all this talk no doubt simmo will be a bag of nerves Tuesday night, Support him he is a Blade after all!

Just a thought,if longs not ready yet,and we can't afford anyone else, what the fuck happens if simmonsen gets injured.
