Bogle ------ Bash ----- Egan--------J robinson --- RND

----Sandy Burger -------------- Norwood--------

-----------------------Ndiaye-------------------

-----------Mcburnie------------Jebbison------

Start of a huge huge 6 weeks something mental like 12 games in 6 weeks, we could either be in a automatic push or bang mid table with nowt to play for by the end of that

Its a shame Brewster will be out it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't play again this season just as he was showing what he was all about , its a massive chance for Jebbo & Mcburnie to show that they are the future of this club Didz & Sharp aren't as they have a combined age of about 80

Once again Sharp should not be starting for us he doesnt offer anything bar a good finish now and again as shown V Pboro last week he missed multiple chances and slows down attack's every time - JEBBO & OLI MAC up front for me

Also berge has to play Yes Norwood has played well and houirihane has looked half decent recently but that doesn't wipe out the 6 months of dross under Slav the pair of them couldn't tackle a fish supper between them its all well and good against Pboro who sat off us and let us play

Id bring enda back if he is fit and play robinson unless Davies is back

If MGW is back then I would play him ahead of Ndiaye but he doesn't deserve to be dropped ATM

I didn't realise Didsy is 44 - looks good on it.

I think you've probably covered the Sharp and McBurnie points now mate. Norwood's back, I think Heckingbottom's best signs so far have been giving a couple their confidence back, hopefully it rubs off on others. If Fleck is fit, well and gets his confidence back too, we're really in business. I don't see how we can play Sander with Norwood though personally.

Jebbo for Brewster but just give Billy an hour and let McBurnie have 30 mins to get some match fitness.

Hourihane should get an hour too.

Leave the most effective striker at the club out of the starting lineup. Bring in one of the least.

Agree Berge should get a start. Whither shitcan Norwood or Hourihane has the jury out.

Stevens has however been on a death spiral for the best part of a year. If you're not picking RND, then Osborn gets the shirt.

McBurnie should be transfer listed. He's never gonna make much at SUFC now.*

Berge looked that good against Chong in the reverse fixture that he has to play, right?! Oh I thought not, it was another piss weak midfield display by Sandra, who got bullied by a Man U kid.

McBurnie needs selling or sticking in the U23's until his contract ends.

2 things that absolutely won't happen:

1. Norwood and Hourihane being split up - telling that an answer to a question about Berge Hecky commented that as a pair Norwood and Hourihane had yet to lose.

2. McBurnie starting - Even with the OP's apparent distian for Sharp McBurnie is being eased back. Hecky isn't a risk taker on people's fitness.

Brewster definitely out. I expect to see the same team with a couple of possible exceptions:

1. Gibbs-White or Jebbo to come in for Brewster depending on the fitness of the former.

2. Possible return for Davies if fit. Norrington-Davies or Robinson to make way. Robinson to LWB possibly.

Rest the same.

I think the only changes you’ll see is NDiaye join Sharp up top & MGW in the hole.

No chance Sharp will get dropped, he doesn’t get dropped when he plays badly never mind a game after he’s scored

Please explain to me how scoring 5 goals in 25 from openplay is the most effective striker at the club

Is he fast ? -- NO
Does he run in behind? -- NO
Is he a nuisnce for Defenders ? Sometimes but not as much as he used to be
Can he finish ? -- Yes but not as good as he used to be able too see this season
Does he link up play ? -- No
Can you build a team aroung him ? No he is 36

Is he a blade... yes

Hes the most effective striker this season because Hes the only striker we have played every game for a multitude of reasons injuries/stupid managers like slav who bombed brewster out for 3 months

Did you go to that match Derek ?

Pretty sure Berge came on and bossed that match

He's the most effective striker his season because he has nine goals to his name. He might not be fast (Burke was, but he bobby shitplop) and he might not get in behind (but who does?) He can finish, and has done just that, in the last game in fact from a position pretty difficult to get anything from and capitalising on a defensive lapse in concentration. It's what he does, and always has done. He's not a player who riddles round five players and scissor kicks it into the top bin. If you're a defender and you're in the box with him, don't switch off because he'll make you look daft, even at 36.

And at the moment, being as we have Brewster (fits and starts), McBurnie (never at the game), Mousset (gone, thank fuck), McGoldrick (flagging, badly) we have little viable option.

Agree

He doesn’t currently have certain aspects that we would like to see from a complete cf, for various reasons

But what he does - he does well

Sharp will start whilst ever the likes of Mcburnie can not displace him with piss poor attitudes and oddball performances.

Do not write off seeing Billy and Didsy start Friday night..

Maybe time for a few stats , let's see if you can argue

Shitty Sharp 1728 minutes , 8 goals, 6 assists

Ndiaye. 1153 minutes, 3 goals , 1 assist

McGoldrick 903 minutes , 2 goals , 4 assists

Brewster 805 minutes, 3 goals , 0 assists

McSaviour 430 minutes 0 goals, 1assist
Do try this at home…..
do a headstand and view the screen through a mirror Mcburnie definitely comes out on top.

"Bobby shitplop" just gave me the biggest laugh I've had so far this year, absolutely brilliant

Is he a nuisance for Defenders ? Yes- a complete pain in the arse. Wily old get, must be horrid to play against.

Can he finish ? -- Yes.

Does he link up play ? -- Yes. He's never been creative in any way, but holds it up pretty well and has put some great crosses in for assists this season. Shame he can't cross to himself.

Can you build a team aroung him ? No. But do we need to, or do we need to win matches?

Maybe one thing we are missing about why Billy Sharp is playing most games, is that he stays fit and is available for most games...even though he plays most games...which makes it a lot easy to plan a line up with Billy Sharp for most games....

:cool: is this the Billy Sharpe that is the leading scorer ever in modern championship football ?
I was taking the piss out of the bollocks Fallowfield spouted. Re read his comment then mine, hence the wow....in my top 5 ever since the 80's

He has done a job this season but a lot of peoples opinions or based on previous versions of Bill

His finishing this season has been poor and that’s backed up by the stats 5 in 25 in the league for a striker who plays almost every minute isn’t great

Correct it was a great finish vs pboro but I can’t think of another like that this season and he proceeded to miss a sitter later on

People think I have an agenda against him I don’t he’s a blades legend , I have an agenda for the blades winning

The bast majority are bias towards sharp because he is a blade 🤷‍♂️

Please please STOP commenting on this wendy wank socks posts and he will go away. Its like Len de fuckin goey all over again
I’ve told you before

Let it all out brother

Let it out
