He can be excused for the last game......covid, not a the game, not full strength, etc etc.....

But tonight's post match interview for me is testing...... it is the interview that is going clearly highlight the sort of manager that he is going to be.

I expect complete dissatisfaction...

I expect emotion and an up front admission that we just have just spunked 3 points up against a wall.

I expect a proclamation that this squad of players are not good enough to chase promotion....along with a demand for fresh blood.

I expect a confession that the United World 'masterplan' is something thay is going to take 3-4 years to even compete...

Will we get it.....nah

He’s got a wank job tbf to him. He’s got a bunch of players that arent good enough and that arent his, some that are old, some that are so fragile that a fart is enough to put them on the treatment table and all of them are on far too much money for us to be able to offload them without us losing out financially.

Look at his permanent record at Barnsley, Leeds and Hibernian. Useless. Do the guy a favour and get rid of him now. The alternative is a death by a thousand cuts.

I don't agree with this, but I sure as hell long to see him show some bollocks.... the yes man routine is a huge step backwards for the club.

I think the reason we made the change from Slav, was Wilder got his job and the compo payments stopped.? but why Hecky..??? other than he was cheap.?

Because they not only can’t afford anyone else but they can’t afford to back another manager with the funds needed to overhaul the squad.

We’ve done some stupid things but hiring a manager knowing full well they can’t afford to back with anything like the money he would need to be a success given the amount of dross Slav would have needed to get rid of is up there.

He only got the job on the premise he won't call out the owners and would settle with the players he has got in the 1st and youth teams.

The guy has this job for one reason. It's not for showing his 'passion' to the press and demanding bare minimum expectations. The previous managers were out on their ear for doing that. I respect that the manager is doing what's good for himself and to try to steer some course through the whirlpool.

Why didn’t Slav get this kind of defence?

He's not under pressure to get us up,the board see him as a long term treading water manager that mid table will do just fine...remember the famous line in the infamous presser,he will not be judged by what happens on Saturday,or even Tuesday.

Slav arguably had it worst. It was obvious to anyone that he’d need to be backed financially for him to be a success here. He was appointed by the board who presumably knew that he’d want to play a different way and would need a huge reshuffle of the pack to make it work.

Unfortunately, thats a massive question mark hanging over the board…..why on earth did they appoint a bloke, tie his hands behind his back and then give him the bullet when results inevitably went against us?

This!!

It still baffles me to this day why our owner went out and spent money bringing in a manager with a proven track record at this level only to not back him, and then sack him a few months later so they could replace him with the guy who had the job in the first place.

F**king joke!!

He's got a rebuild on his hands, I just hope he's the man to do it.

I'd give him 2 more seasons of mid table finishes if it looked like he was p45'ing the dross, recruiting and coaching the younger players properly.
I was chatting to a Huddersfield fan at the weekend and he said that, much like our lot, they downed tools and ended up with a load of guff that they couldn't shift after they were relegated. It's only now that they've weathered the storm and worked themselves back into contention again and is something that we're going to have to do.

Either that or get a bloody hypnotist to do something with them
