He's been unlucky with his injury that's for sure.

Covid/Vaccine wise, i'm not sure what the truth is. If he's been vaccinated then the hammer he's getting on here is unjustified. If he hasn't taken the vaccine and has been missing games due to having to isolate etc. then this is something the club and Heckingbottom need to address.

Regarding him as a player. A fully fit McBurnie, with minutes in the tank gives us an option totally different to any other striker in the squad. His all round game is better than most.
He can drop deep, he can link-up, he can play with his back to goal, he can be a target man, he can be a 'fox-in-the-box'. The only other player in the squad with all of those attributes is Sharp (minus the target man bit).

McGoldrick - Deep lying, link-up player
Mousset - Pace & finishing
Brewster - Pace, long shots
Burke - Pace

We've a lot of games coming up so we will be relying on our squad depth. I'm sure that we'll see goals from him before the season is out.

This fraud has cost us at least £22,000,000. The transfer fee, signing on fee, wages. Just let that sink in. For, what is it, seven goals?? Keith Edwards could score that now and he’s 63. I’m sick of his couldn’t care less attitude, laughing and joking on the bench when we’re getting shit on 3-0, laughing and joking with the opposing teams subs after they’ve just scored, drunk driving, picking fights with kids, acting like a fucking nob at Swansea matches, Enough’s enough. He’s just taking the piss with the club and fans. Lack of effort boils my fucking piss.
Absolutely bang on.

I thought that pre season but now? I'm not sure. He just doesn't do enough running to play the role that Sharp is. And Didzy is one of our more athletic players and our best at winning possession back quickly, 2 things that McBurnie is poor at.

If we could move him, get Jebbison back to play cameos at the end of games/sign a more athletic CF I would. I think it'd be best for him and the club to call it quits at this point

As a teen I used to wonder why we saddled ourselves with so much debt in the mid 70s, before I was born, building the South Stand, but at least we had something to show for it.

Future generations will wonder why we spent nigh on 100 million in fees and wages on the trinity of Berge/Mousset and this walloper.

It is fucking unbelievable really.

Nonsense.....

We didn't use our own money to buy those players the money we spent was given to use by the premier league we didn't saddle our self with debt to buy those players we were using house money , yes we could have invested better

Today we are in a far far better position than we were in when we played the first game of the promotion season VS Swansea

Yes we have spunked some money up the wall but we still have some saleable assetts berge £20M + Bogle who we would probs make money on plus ramsdale who we have made plenty on

The only qualifying thing that links him with football anymore is turning up to watch Swansea. On that basis, we ought to be paying out big wages to the other 15k or so Jacks that watch them every week.....

If you do the maths we will have lost money on all of his purchases

Whose money was it if it wasn't ours?!

I'm assuming you get paid by your employer, when you receive this money into your bank account is it yours or is it still your employers that they've given you to use?!

Plank.

I'll be frank - unless McBurnie books his ideas up and applies himself - this may be as good as his career gets in terms of size of club, time in the PL, achievements, money earned.

It all stands to be down hill from here. He'd do well to let that sink in...

I think he will end up at someone like Bradford or Barnsley in the next couple of years, then on to Harrogate. Complete waster.

He's fucking shite and lazy and thinks that if he lunges in with stupid challenges that's enough to win fans over

Joint top scorer in one of the best blades teams ever the team that finished 9th in the premier league :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

The reason he hasn't done much in the past 12 months is because he has been inured for the majority of it

That's not me rimming mcburnie its just a fact he has been injured and then out with covid or covid reasons saying he has been shit is not fair as he has been injured and that's a FACT

Maybe his toe might have got better sooner if he wasn't kicking shit out of a youth and stamping on his phone, shoulder injury self inflicted by diving ................................... even when out injured he could have done more like work on other areas of fitness rather than go down the pub.

The FACTS you put up there show he has missed nine games. That's not 'most of a season'. His shoulder injury was also brought about by shithousing and diving. We all saw that.

What about the rest? He's been here since we were promoted. And being 'joint-top-scorer' on six goals isn't anywhere near value for money. He's only scored one goal since.

Stop rimming him, feller. He's been bobbar with peanuts

pommpey

He's playing for a free transfer to Swansea, or hoping to be a back-up striker at somewhere like Wolves.

So has anyone actually answered the OPs question? Is he currently injured or what?

He's more likely to end up at Newport or backup striker at Bristol Rovers the way he plays.

Thing is he will know that he probably could get a well paid move to the MLS or the Middle East in any event 'worst case'
