What about isolating due to close contact. How the fuck do you prove or disprove that. Funny how all the teams requesting the games to be cancelled against have fans who have commented it actual suits them better

Are these tests run by the club themselves or a neutral representative from the EFL alongside the club doctor, for example? Or are the tests and swabs taken at face value? What's the protocol, if anyone knows, for confirming the positivity or otherwise of these tests? Genuine question that by the way.

And unless a club, be it Middlesbrough tomorrow, or Coventry whenever they play or any other club, cannot physically field and name 14 players from their entire club structure down to the 15 year olds that Bolton were made to play a couple of seasons ago, then they should be made to play the fixture or forfeit otherwise. All we have now, for doing our bit yet again, is a fixture backlog that will no doubt affect us in the near future for, like I said, being responsible with the restrictions. QPR started this when they had a few of their better players injured.

If anyone knows of the absolute protocol regards legitimacy of the testing process then go ahead.

Whilst it isn’t a conspiracy it is a clear and obvious failure of the protocols the EFL has in place of the now reported 20+ cases only Howson didn’t travel last night meaning in all likelihood players and staff with covid took part in that game increasing the chances of infection both amongst Boro staff and the opposition.

Now setting aside the health implications of this as it is well covered elsewhere the EFL has to act soon from a purely scheduling perspective if this rate of cancellations continues then it starts to put the season in jeopardy.

One step which it seems could be pretty easily taken is to reintroduce daily testing for a while as this would theoretically catch infected players and staff as they arrive on site. This could reduce outbreaks at team facilities to a handful of players and staff rather than the now seemingly commonplace 15+ which obviously derails games. It is doable United did it only a few weeks ago with Didzy and Mcburnie whilst keeping the rest of the squad fit and healthy.

They are a set of Crooks.
Look at the names of the players in their team. There's even a clue there.

For those suggesting that clubs are lying about their players having Covid in order to have matches postponed, can I just check what you think those clubs would do if/when their players really do get it?

So for example if Boro are lying now what would they do if their entire squad really do get it in two weeks’ time?
There's do evidence that says you can't get Omicron twice mate. Or at least, not yet.

I said it on the day QPR cried off when the had their 4 best players injured it is bollocks every club is at it now and the EFL have lost control. Four teams have cried off with Covid (how convenient) just as they are about to play in form Sheffield United. The season has become a farce, may as when draw lots to see who is promoted and relegated. That now means we have to fit in four extra midweek games we will be playing 3 games a week like Rotherham had to do last season it bollocks.

or a mix of one of each delta and Omicron

What did Palace say to the PL when trying to get their game off for Covid, only to put out the same squad bar one, maybe two?

A full squad getting it a second time within a short space of time? Don’t you have a certain level of immunity for a period after having it?

Will everyone stop with these ridiculous conspiracy theories. If Boro have got 20 plus Covid cases then so be it. Wilder would never invent that to miss a game. You'll be saying next that George Bush was behind 9/11 or Prince Charles arranged Diana's car crash. If you haven't got a brain then please don't post on here.

All I see in this reply are facts.

If a decision hasn't been reached by now, the I'm guessing it might be on. Fingers XD

Why do folk automatically assume that Wilder is personally orchestrating this, like some 3rd rate tabloid Bond villain—rather than, for example, Boro’s medical team, or a steering group/committee at the club made up of people from different departments?

It‘s Middlesbrough FC we’re talking about, not Fulchester United.

And what about claims that the Lochness monster is real, and Barry Bannan is the greatest footballer since Jesus walked the earth??

It’s on TV so it has a better chance of it being on than it would if it wasn’t on TV.

Barry Bannan is very underrated. He should really be playing for Real Madrid by now.

Think Chris Wilder pre match interview is scheduled for 1pm?. Should tell us something.

No problem with the Loch Ness monster, but the Bannan one is just hysterical fantasy 😆
