Reported in numerous articles.
How about £24 million plus buyback option?
Hes worth double that looking at the type of striker some idiots pay £24m for!

With United‘s negotiating skills v Klopp, lucky to get a couple of bob in old money
Liverpool announced on Wednesday that transfer guru Michael Edwards will leave the club at the end of the season. ESPN reported in August that the club's sporting director was out of contract at the end of this campaign and did not commit to a new deal to continue his role in charge of the player recruitment team.

This was from last month.

Tbh if you read Liverpool forums they praise Edwards just as highly as Klopp as the reason for their recent success.

Can we have a transfer guru too dad?

Thought Hecky was bringing him back here in Jan anyway, so presumably in our plans this season.

"when the big boys come calling"

Jebbo will settle the balance on brewster as others have said but I hope we get some decent clauses in, or it'll ruin Christmas...

Boom boom..

Our owners have just publicly committed to a policy of "grown your own players".
Not a policy of "sell them as a seedling before they even sprouted".
If we sell Jebbison prematurely , those owners will be publicly humiliated + suffer a terrible backlash from fans.
The disconnect was growing under Slav - they've tried to repair it with Hecky - sell Jebbo + Le Petit Prince will reap the whirlwind

Realistically, how about Jebbison, Brewster, N'Diaye and one last year of Sharp and McGoldrick as the striking options as a quintet?

Offload Mousse who offers so much when fit but helas is never fit.

Offload McBurnie who simply doesn't fit, isn't fit or we don't know how to make him fit.

Offload Burke who isn't fit for the role we play him in.

When there is nothing left in Sharp or McGoldrick, hopefully Lankshear and Hackford are ready to be numbers four and five.

I'd go with that. The only slight tweak I'd make to that plan would be to offer Moose a contract which is vastly reduced in monetary terms and is performance / appearance related. If he can't stomach that (probably cos he's just finished off a large mixed kebab with chilli sauce) then it's bon voyage time for him too. He is worth keeping around but only on United's terms now.

McBurnie and Burke can both go for me. Not gunna happen for either of them at the Lane now.

Jebbison could be anything. Could be a Slew, could be a Calvert-Lewin. That's the risk the club take. Dependent on the price and future clauses it could be an astute piece of business to help balance the clubs finances. Also remember it's currently paper talk.

Every player has his price. I don't mind Utd selling Jebbison at all. Provided of course Utd get top whack in selling price for him and don't undersell him. We are selling potential and that isn't (and shouldnt) come cheap to any potential buyer. If Liverpool or anyone else for that matter want him bad enough, make them pay through the nose for him. No more giving away players, and as said above it would help get the club back on the straight and narrow financially if we were to negotiate well. So, probably ten bob and a pickled Frogs scrotum being the agreed price then..

Just a thought. If we did sell for top money, I would expect some of the money to go into the training facilities in Shirecliffe or be ring fenced for future training ground development at a new site.

This is classic Blades, not good enough for us but good enough for a champions league side.
It's also classic Blades fans how we elevate players in our youth team to god like status despite really seeing them play.
See also de Girolamo.

There's no doubting he's a talent, but for me a loan at the minute is probably best for all parties.

If we had signed him from Crewe or something then loaned him straight to Burton, there'd be nowhere near as much hype from our fans. Because he's "ours" and come through our ranks, we build them up too high.

For every Maguire, Walker and Calvert-Lewin, there's also Slew's, Dimaios and Khan's

Transfer fee: £10m
10 starts for Liverpool: + £3m
10 goals for Liverpool: + £5m
50 starts for Liverpool: + £7m
50 goals for Liverpool: + £10m
1 start for England: + £1m
10 goals for England: +£5m

Sell on clause: 20%

Just some rough numbers thrown in there, but you get the idea.

The above would mean Liverpool would end up paying about £45m for a hugely successful player, about the same as the Jota deal. If he doesn't do well, it'll be much less.

If Liverpool are interested it's because they think they can sign him for peanuts like they did with brewster and sell him for a premium like they did with brewster
Unlikely scenario - which club in their right mind would sell a player on the cheap (say £1 million) and buy him back a year later for £20 million?

I don't know two things here
1st is which club would do that and secondly what that has to so with anything I've just said

Brewster had come from Liverpool the resent champions of Europe and Premier League winners he’d also won the youth World Cup so he could prove that he had pedigree plus he’d been out on loan and scored goals the price was high imo. Jebbison has scored most of his senior goals in Division one for Burton so the selling points aren’t as good.

The only argument for selling is that the club is absolutely skint and we need the money to keep the lights on. If not you wouldn't even consider selling at this juncture. We should be looking to build around the likes of Jebbo, Bogle and Ndiaye, not selling at the bottom of the market.

He'll go. Possibly not to Liverpool, more like a mid PL club and for 'undisclosed', meaning 'peanuts'.

The more he is not playing for us also, the less the opprobrium fired at the board for their stupidity. See also that chap who is playing overseas who we own but whose name we've forgotten because its never appeared on the back on a Blades shirt.

pommpey

Sorry i was being facetious.....the brilliantly run team we support sold Aaron Ramsdale for around £1 million to Bournemouth and bought him back shortly afterwards for £20 million
