Say something that no one will agree with because they think it’s all Wilders fault and The Princes fault………we looked better with Hecko in charge after he shook the five games of inevitable sorrows post Wilder departure than we have of Slav all season.

Think about it, he knows our squad is made up of inexperienced youngsters / experienced pros. He knows how to get the best out the former. Let’s back him.

I’m hoping this is mutual and we don’t have to pay him off in full. He said last week he was miserable

A handful of loan signings and expected to work miracles. Surprised he didn't walk after the transfer window.

This club is a fucking joke. Does PA still speak to McCabe or something? This the exact kind of bullshit McCabe would do.
as the song goes

nobody says that its easy

hes been sacked for taking us nearer the bottom than the top

when you watch football for some time this tends to happen

Nonsense.

he didnt get the players in he wanted and it was mostly his fault as he left it too late
he was sacked at watford after winning promotion ,,,,, thats odd not sacking someone for poor results

He didn't leave it too late. He told the club the players he wanted to bring in.

The club wanted to sell Ramsdale first.

I shouldn't be shocked but even after 50 plus years of supporting United we seem never to learn from past mistakes.

What's upsetting me more is that we're throwing away the opportunity that 2 years in the Premiership gave us. We could have really kicked on as the dominant force in Sheffield for years to come. Hard to believe that only 16 months we were beating Chelsea 3 0 and were looking forward to a new Training ground, redeveloped stadium. But no we've descended into farce.

It's the Blades Way.

Well that hurts, thanks

Correct.

We point and laugh at them cunts at Hillsborough but we're not far from being a similar sized joke at the moment.

whats wrong with that

our projected income for the previous season had been halved with loss of crowds and reduced tv money
we had budgeted like all prem clubs do for much more

nothing new for clubs with no billionaire owners to sell to buy
wishing prince had more money is a pointless exercise

I wan t a new Land Rover Defender but Rushi Sunak wont double my pension the twat

No, Watford regularly get promoted to the premier league, it takes us 13 years.

Perhaps I was a little too optimistic about becoming the club that sacks managers even before the ink's dried on the contract.

Rewriting history a bit on Heckingbottom. How many of the young lads did he actually bring through in the Prem for meaningful minutes? I can only think of Jebbison who's now out on loan at Burton

Didn't he have Slater on the bench too or am I wrong?

I don't understand the outrage to be honest. People entitled to opinions by all means but blimey

Have you actually enjoyed any of the games this season? Hull away maybe, i'm struggling after that. It's been very poor. The club have acted decisively be that right or wrong, they've acted swiftly, if they haven't seen enough to warrant backing Slavisa in January then it's right to part ways and give someone a chance to come in, assess the squad for themselves and identify what they want in January to impose their system. Whether we can afford that is a different matter.

From what i've seen and his interviews it seems Slav gave the players freedom to go out and play on impulse, the best we saw from the squad was when we were organised and everyone knew what their role was and where to be in every situation.

Heckingbottom looks likely in the interim and he actually managed to get some results with the majority of this squad. Let's see how the performance is on Sunday but if its anything other than seeing how many times we can get between our area and theirs before losing it or kicking it out of play it'll be a marked improvement

Possibly, plus a couple of appearances in the last 5 mins for Hackford. Of course if Fleck is out for any length of time we might have to call on some young lads for the midfield on the bench at least

PBoro home, Hull away. We have played some nice attacking one touch football against against few teams this season.

It's defensively we have been utter bollocks. Not sure how only allowing a manager a handful of loan players were going to fix everything.

Thinking about it a bit more I think the main issue has been the injury to Berge.

I suspect that January would have always required outgoings before we get incomings. I imagine the January budget may have been coming from Berge having a strong season and then being sold. Given that he has had no game time and hasn't shown any of his talents, the only players we would have had to cash in on would have been N'Diaye, Jebbo or maybe Coulibaly who we may be unwilling to sell at this stage.
