Whilst The Poppy Appeal is a immensely important and worthwhile charity, to which I subscribe, I got to thinking,.....
Take the poppy from the shirt and (IMO) the amounts already bid are hugely disproportionate given many of the player's poor performances in that game.
No disrespect intended, but, if it were not for the 'Poppy Appeal' element!, would anyone really want a shirt from a home defeat to Blackpool??.
