Seems to me that plenty of chances are being created, good chances too, but we are not clinical enough. That says to me that Slav’s tactics seem ok and it’s the quality of players we currently have, who should be doing better. Defensively we are conceding too many soft goals, and that is costing us as well as being wasteful.
Whoever came in to replace Slav would have the same issues.

I agree with that but surely sometimes you just have to go back to basics when your current plans aren't working? An his ethos in most of this team is pointless as 3/4's of them need to go.

You have just answered your own question. The point is Slav does not have the right tools yet. He knows that but he as to do with the crap he as got. IF he left and finds another job has your quote. He's right, Slav paid handsomely to get consistent performances, so far, I've seen next to nothing

There is no point paying a manager handsomely and then not letting him bring players in to implement his style of playing. We may as well have stuck with heckingbottom.

It was pretty obvious an overhaul of the squad was needed in the summer but we waited months trying to offload ramsdale or berge to free up some cash and then ran out of time and panicked. On deadline day we were chasing around trying to sign a player who didn’t qualify for a work permit and Hourihan and Olsen don’t look any better than what we already had in the squad. It was a shambles. I actually feel sorry for Slav, he’s been sold a lemon.

I think the general quality of our performances is improving and we are playing better football, retaining more possession and creating more chance. The problem seems to be a confidence thing that stops us from finishing things off, chances and matches.
Give Slav some time and access to the money that he will raise in the JTW and he will continue to improve the level Of performance which could result in a play off spot this season or definitely next.

If I was the Prince, Wilder wouldn't be getting near this team again whilst I owned the club.

Slav was right with his point on Norwood, when he rested him Hourihane was shite, so there isn’t a credible option for a replacement really!
