The only time our points system becomes an issue is when we're either in the Prem or in a promotion season to the Prem ie not very often.

Now we're shit again and only likely to get shitter for the next few years, this is the chance for all those moaning about the points system to step up to the mark and fill their boots at the away games!

i agree it was a golden chance to completely take over the city football wise and we bolloxed it up unfortunately sheffield football fortunes tend to go in cycles one team having the upper hand for 5 or 6 years then the other taking over been like that the whole 60 years ive been following united

I don't get all this about their fantastic away support. It's the same as ours but as they've got worse on the field and as their home attendances have dropped they get a few more away than they should. Its almost like it's all they've got. I remember us and them having poor following on Saturday afternoons and we've both had good support. I seem to remember when we finished 3rd and lost in the playoff final to Burnley we had the 2nd best away support and they had the 8th. Donny had had just come up had a better away average than them. Wolves had the best. Wish some of our fans wouldn't listen to them about how great their away support is. It's good but no better than ours.

It's going back a few years now, last century even, the last time they were in the Prem, when they got hammered 8-0 on a Monday night at Newcastle, they only took something like 300 (three hundred) to Geordieland. That never gets mentioned, I suppose it doesn't fit in well with their massive myth, a bit like those regular 7 and 8 thousand home gates in the 70s

Unfortunatley or fortunately whichever way you look at it ( i always worked away so only ever had 4 ST at lane in my life ) but because our travelling support for some strange reason hasn’t been that big over the years I’ve 95% of time managed to get away tickets 1 way or other . I’ve been to oakwell when we’ve only took 1500. I’ve been to donny with less than a thousand die hard blades. For me now is the time to get behind em and get Hull sold out not get behind em cos we are at old Trafford or Emirates. They need us now!! Stand up and be counted ffs. UTB FTP
