Since 1950 United have spent 23 seasons in the top flight - 1,525 teams appeared there in total. Here are United's rankings. For the total rank, the lower the score across the other 4 categories the better.

It's very clear that the best post war season for United precipitated the start of the biggest collapse! Let's hope 19/20 and what has gone after isn't a repeat!!

Except Harris wasn't the manager in 74-75 when we finished 6th that was Ken Furphy. Really though it was the Harris team, Furphy bought a lot of cheap 3rd division players who he thought able to make the step up, they weren't and much like the present team soon found their level and the team followed them.
