Think you've got the Goals per Game column wrong??

Last season we scored 0.53 goals per game.

EDIT - just realised it's Goals in the Game, NOT Goals Scored

I've seen 50% of our worst ever seasons.....yep feel like it

Depressing that since 1975 we have largely been shit to average

Since 1950 United have spent 23 seasons in the top flight - 1,525 teams appeared there in total. Here are United's rankings. For the total rank, the lower the score across the other 4 categories the better.

It's very clear that the best post war season for United precipitated the start of the biggest collapse! Let's hope 19/20 and what has gone after isn't a repeat!!

Only one wasnt a relegation season (1920-21) and what was surprising was that it was our 3rd worst ever in terms of % available points won!

Even odder that terrible season number 2 was the centenary of terrible season number 3

Harry Johnson.
Remarkably he was a part time footballer, working at Hadfield Steel throughout his career.

You can also throw in that he fought in the First World War.
Aye
Don’t make em like that anymore (very often ?)
Dunne was a ‘good lad’ n ‘all
Interned during Irish Civil War & ordered team not to give Nazi salute when captaining Ireland in pre war Germany !

I think this proves that John Harris should be ranked as our best manager since 1950
Except Harris wasn't the manager in 74-75 when we finished 6th that was Ken Furphy. Really though it was the Harris team, Furphy bought a lot of cheap 3rd division players who he thought able to make the step up, they weren't and much like the present team soon found their level and the team followed them.
