Good luck to the boy. I love our Aaron & really hope he smashes the words of these Arsenal fan cunts, right down their throats.

This is a very good deal for United & (hopefully!) the fee we get for him will improve the rest of the squad.
Don't bank on the money improving the squad, prepare to be disappointed.

Now spend it on young, hungry players with high future resale value. Restock the shelves with players that can take us to the Premier league or bring in big money. Show us that you were right to be whinging about Wilder's recruitment because you can recognise top undervalued talent abroad that the previous manager couldn't. Any club spunking all their money on loans is on the road to ruin. Best case scenario you go up and come back down. The jury is very much out on HRH's regime and this window will probably define his tenure imo.

As for Rambo: came in late in his development and has brought the club a lot of money x2. I hope he succeeds as it's good for all parties.

I wish him all the best, he seems a top lad and he really developed into an even better keeper last season. But, maybe this is really harsh, part of me is disappointed he's leaving us to be likely second choice at arsenal where their fans are already against him. He's pushed for the move and whilst that's understandable I do find that aspect disappointing. But im probably taking looking at it as a fan not as a professional footballer. It is a great move for him to a bigger stage and I understand why he's left an the same.

Absolutely spot on. All of it.

On one hand I really hope he proves the Arsenal conceited lunatics wrong. And I also think he did fantastically to come back from the abuse he got at the hands of some of our own last season.

On the other, there's a bitter taste after he was voted POTS, got plenty of support and then engineered this move despite the club showing faith in his ability.

A 95% GLTTL

Good luck in your career ,seems like a very good person , after a dodgy spell showed his true class , hopefully englands future no1

Weren't Ramdale, Berge, Brewster, Bogle, Lowe young and hungry, didn't really work out for us.

I'd like a period of signing players that are actually up to it now if possible.

Has to be a mix of potential and here and now signings.

I would hope the £6m add-ons aren’t down to interpretation. What does ‘long term no1’ mean exactly?

In my view as soon as he plays the majority of league games in a season that’s it.

We don’t want any arguing over what constitutes the definition of what long term means.

Selling Progressive Club

That was the wording of the tweet

If this means Verrips will be #1 for any period of time its really bad business.
Really gutted to see Rammers go. :(

The only good thing to come out of this sale is that we made a small profit but where the fuck is the replacement do we have anyone lined up what happens if it falls through we are left with League one Wes or a traumatised Verrips. I doubt either of these two are good enough for a side wanting promotion.

We are still not very good at this wheeling and dealing lark are we?

More upset that we have no replacement than I am at Ramsdale going as I don't think he has the agility to be a keeper for a top Premier League team I'd rate him average to bottom half of that division. That said good luck to him can't blame him for going, he will need a thick skin down there when they get on his back.

It will be clearly quantified and defined, probably £x after x appearances, then £x after x appearances.

They didn’t work out in terms of keeping us in the PL, which is what we wanted, but we’ve made money on Rammers, we’ll probably get our money back on Berge and Bogle, need to get some performances out of Lowe and Brewster before they’ll be worth close to what we paid. With loans, if it doesn’t work, you’re left with nowt.
The plus with loans is that you can sometimes get better quality, especially in terms of skill, you’d struggle to find a Mount in the lower leagues that you could buy with a view to improve. So, we probably need a mix, some loans and a couple of players with potential resale value, in case we don’t go up. Ideally, obviously, sometimes you just have to take what you can get.

This is the championship, all of those players above are proven at this level. We should be able to get players in their early 20s who can push us on in the here and now on permanent deals which is, frankly, a much more difficult prospect in the prem. This is the acid test of the recruitment staff, board and manager. They go the other way and we don't go up and we'll see league one before the Prem imo. A couple of high quality loans are fine as long as the packages aren't too rich.

Loans are ok if we can get a decent buy it now option agreed at start of loan to consider at the end of it. We never seem to do this just the loan bit. Leeds managed it Harrison was a bargain.

I hope you're right but I think we'll have done extremely well with Berge if we get our money back, I think he's quality, but he's not showing it enough, having nothing around him doesn't help, and is probably mostly responsible, but still. It's the same for Brewster and anyone else we think we can sell.

Ramsdale is different because goalkeepers can always show their skill, whether the team is good or bad, they'll always have to do something eventually.

Feels a bit like saying "if I could borrow £1m then I could invest it and turn it into £10m and pay the £1m back" - where £1m is our team actually performing, and the £10m is our players reaching a profitable state - where's the £1m/performance coming from?

Sorry mate, I’ve just smoked a bit of weed and I don’t really understand that.
