You're the expert on everything - you really should be working for the club. Except your endless negativity would have you in disciplinary meetings twice a week, then released at the end of your probationary period.

If you are absolutely determined to play 4-3-3 bring in the players that can play it. Gets a thumbs up from me. Needs at least one more wide man and a central midfielder or two that can run, tackle and pass.

We've covered most of those already.
Sanderson and Clarke didn't think they'd get guaranteed game time given Egan and Bash so opted to go elsewhere.
Mowatt was a done deal for WBA as soon as his ex-manager came in for him so not realistic at all.

Chong - we're clearly targetting higher levels wingers, so yes we could have gone for him if we wanted lower quality. I think we're looking higher.
Dozzell - Again possible if you wanted to target lower standard players in the hope they're ready to step up.

Is Wilson Harry Wilson? If so 😂 😂 😂

It may not happen, but at least we are giving it a go. Just hope it isn't wages that prevents it.

Absolutely. I suspect it will come down to what they and he really want. What's the main priority for all concerned? If it's financial, then more than likely he gets a PL loan. If however they think he needs a spell in a tough league, where he has the potential to truly stand out, and money is a secondary concern, then who knows. This is ManU though!

I think we have a slim chance, so not getting my hopes up.
 

Expect this has a chance given the noises being made. Wouldn’t be surprised at all now.

Only thing that’ll stop us is the deadline.

He will get more game time with us rather than Palace I reckon.

Per Slav's comments we are looking at bringing in 5 players. Assuming Davies was one. That would leave four remaining players. The consensus is two midfielders and two wide/attacking players. We have 12 days left in the window. I have my concerns, I feel like we should have made some moves to address those hole earlier. That will be 6 games played and we have already dropped 8 points.

Sorry, just never understood the idea - you can only bring in quality late in the window mentality......
 
I suppose the best hope is that now they've got Sancho, they figure they want to sell him and make some money back. They could sell him in the PL but may not necessarily recoup their outlay this season so figure they could send him out on loan somewhere he's guaranteed to get gametime and hope he performs well to bump up his value.

I’ll be honest, I don’t think there’s a chance we get 5 without panic buying. Why we took so long god only knows. Players like alex mowatt were available and we knew he was out of contract in the summer. Someone like bolasie on a free isn’t even getting mentioned. Unless we have 4 deals all ready to finalise when rammers gets sold i think we’ll be lucky to get 3 signings

Berge and Ramsdale hampered us to a degree, plan A, if they stay we can look at X level players, if they go its plan B and higher costing players either to buy or loan.
The problem is you can work on both plans to a certain level, but you can't advance them beyond a given point, unless Arsenal or Napoli get their cheque book out. We can identify loads of targets but can't act until the cheques in the post

Probably the lesser quality players have fewer options and go with a club that offers them a contract, whereas quality ones can wait longer and weigh up the options or hope a better offer comes in if they wait.
Unless, you have money and blow everyone out of the water.

I don't disagree. But if we knew we needed 5 players, I find it silly to wait till the end. We should act early and bring in two or three players to support the new system.
