Expectation.

Happens all the time. When you expect to see good things you sit and wait for them to happen, then you react.

When we went up to the PL it was us against the world, everyone wanted to play their part. When we go down we're going to a lesser quality and expect more.
 
If the team weren't so absolutely dead boring it would help.
And don't say the fans are supposed to cheer the team on, that's the biggest load of bollocks ever.
The players don't notice, not one bit, no matter what they say in interiews.

I'm on the settee and dropped off twice. It's mindnumbingly shit in midfield again.

Gone are the days at this club where clappers just turn up and make noise, people are more intelligent now than the baboons that used to go to the matches. If the team bores the shit out of everyone it will reflect in the fans and the noise they make.

Let’s get some paper clappers. Then we can all be real fans. Not reactive to what we watch. Just dead behind the eyes plastic Twitter/Instagram/Facebook/Tictok fans who can be upset by swear words but be turned on by prompted happy clapping
 
Eh even I have to admit Root has been good this past week, if he keeps it up maybe even world class 1 day!

Have to say, we were quiet tonight. Compared to any of the away matches from the last few years it was poor. Hopefully just because of the long trip?
 
The only thing worth cheering tonight was the final whistle.
