If he can’t provide a decent back up to 3 first choice options at left back this week, at championship level, then he’s another colossal car crash of a signing.

3 million quid (in the middle of a pandemic when money was about to become much tighter bt) and he’s not exactly 18 years old either.

Got to wonder what planet that recruitment team was on last summer

Well, the Wilder Police will be along shortly to apprehend and arrest you. I hope you are happy with your sins.

Do NOT 'slag off' any more of 'his' players, 'else it's stick across thi feet an' all.

Where has £3m figure from

I remember when we signed the pair it was meant to be less for the pair then £3m.

I always thought he would be good especially going forward in the championship.

Osborn at left back was just a car crash

Eyup, Wilder Police here. Chris is a Messiah walking among us and he did no wrong. But aye, Max Lowe is utter, utter gash.

I think he came to keep Boggle company and then Enda Stevens‘ tyres went off the edge of a cliff so was played.

He looked really promising on his debut in a cup game at Burnley. Then sadly nosedived. I can't see him getting much game time with Stevens, Osborn & RND all still here.

I've said it elsewhere but Derby signed Bogle from Swindon at 15/16 and likely had a significant sell-on clause. Lowe and Bogle for the same price as Bogle helps Derby avoid handing over a significant chunk of the fee to the Robins.

See also Spurs paying Swansea £15m for Michel Vorm (£3.5m for an international goalkeeper) and Davies (£11.5m for a backup 21 yr old left back) and the Swans miraculously avoiding paying a huge sell on fee to FC Utrecht for Vorm.

I do wonder what part Paul Mitchell played in Wilder's signings. In the main he's escaped criticism but our signings over the last couple of seasons maybe show he's not a man who's opinion should be trusted.

The board obviously trust him otherwise he would have been sacked with the rest.

Maybe he’s putting forward Excellent players and the board now realise they’ve misses the boat on so many with the likes of Anontee Robinson / Cash / Watkins etc

Yes but what about the crap we actually signed - and there were many - does he not take any responsibility for those?

Very bizarre signing in a season of signing complete shite.

Suspect something a bit iffy going off to get Bogle over the line.
I think Derby were trying to balance the books… I think the price we paid was for Bogle and we had to take Lowe to get him off their wage structure

Well he must be really poor if he cannot do any better than Osborn did on Saturday.

They fucked us over with Naughton as well

As for Lowe, he can't defend, but ok as a back-up at this level as LWB.

Hear what you’re saying, Balham, but Davies is still playing for Spurs and has made almost 150 appearances whereas Vorm was only ever going to be a backup for Lloris and made a handful of appearances in cup games before being bombed out. I’d say the reported fees in that case sound logical and were probably about right.

I believe he’s out of the squad because his Mrs is due to give birth.

Reckon Derby would have him back on loan? See Rooney is playing the “but I’m Wayne Rooney card” with Man City/Man Utd trying to scrape some loans in..

Think there are some pretty unfair comments on here. He didn't shine last year in a team where almost every player was terrible, but he wasn't our worst player either. We needed another LB last season as back up to Stevens, as Osborne was often asked to play centre mid and Wilder clearly thought RND wasn't ready for the Prem. So far Lowe hasn't worked out as we might have hoped - although perhaps after a rocky start he will improve this season - but the comments on here are way over the top imo.
