A worrying quote from McBurnie in his post match interview that we knew what B’mouth would do, and that “we knew they were going to be athletic with a high press”. So why did we start with Archer up front on his own and not adjust for this?!

It’s been obvious for 3 years now that if you press us high, we’re not comfortable or good enough to play through the press, so we resort to playing long. So what did Hecky thing was going to happen with Archer up top alone? Honestly bemusing, start McBurnie and then when he’s knackered put Osula on.

I was indifferent to Hecky going or staying before yesterday but that performance was worse than Newcastle, completely indefensible. We have zero style or identity. He was forced into the blueprint against Man United and we played well in a 4-2-2-2 until McBurnie went off. Worrying that he’s not realising we can’t play passive 5-2-3 at this level.

Also, Bogle cannot defend to save his life and a couple of goals 2 years ago doesn’t warrant him starting. Nearly as bad as Max Lowe, send them both back to Derby this summer.
