And if you were at the front of the terrace you had to guess where the opposite touchline was because it was over the brow of a hillwhat a dump the baseball ground was went 3 times and we never scored a goal and always a mudbath
it was an interesting afternoon on the pop side stand in the fa cup 4th round tie 1970 lolAnd if you were at the front of the terrace you had to guess where the opposite touchline was because it was over the brow of a hill![]()
He did this a few times after scoring, probably in response to the home crowd who gave him some stick.why was TC flying the V sign?
I was there the day Rodney Marsh ruined McAlister’s career. It looked like a genuine stamp on his leg. I’ve seen Marsh do this in other games and do lots of diving. He was a very very talented player, but a great cheat. It was so bad for McAllister that day, and as the ball ran free, Dennis Law pushed it in to the open net. Before the ball even got near the line, Law turned round and he was waving at the trainers and medics to run on the field. Mike Summerby threw up at the back of goal. I thought McAllister was the best I ever saw in the Blades goal. Such a sorry day.Tom McAlister showing us why he's the best keeper I ever saw for the Blades, ...just too young to see much of Hodgy. I seem to recall that A-hole Rodney Marsh was the culprit.

The rallying line from DB, "Let's go to work boys!"Yes he did, and played really well, I went to that one and we beat a very good Oldham team who hadn't been beaten on that pitch for ions
Taking up boxing I have been told.
So so sad… it’s even worse that it happened in a training game.
In hindsight these full on ’old school’ training games.., shin pad Thursday I believe they nicknamed them, that the previous regime had in place might have sounded macho and tough but not the wisest thing to have indulged in.
Let's make that your last post on this forum, yeah?Hi Stegosaur here
