Agreed, if he isn't a legend then what makes a legend? Stayed with the club through the tough times and achieved two promotions including the PL.

Only decent signing Clough made.
To be fair Clough also signed Coutts.

Are you still here?
Hi,

Not for much longer, unfortunately. I only watch premier league football because the lower levels are boring--might as well watch pub league if I want to see an out-of-shape centerback launch it aimlessly into Row Z--so will likely be taking my viewing to a Premier League team for next season. I think Leeds, or West Ham--they both play exciting football.

I'll likely drop by from time to time to say how-do-you-do, and of course, keep an eye on the Blades in the hope that we get promoted again. Then, of course, I will go back to cheering for the red and white sorcerers! Although, that is unlikely given our performance last season and the fact we have Rhian "worst signing ever" Brewster leading the forward line.

Bash has turned out to be an absolute revelation. If only a recently departed sulky midfielder had, had even a tenth of his resolve and commitment while on the field of play.

Utterly bizarre reasoning. One of the few players to come out of this season with any credit.

Why not sell everyone then, while we’re at it?
Let’s face it this squad needs major surgery the Wilder way is gone.
Only Rammers has come out of this season with any credit.
Slav will restructure the team with his own players and only a handful of the current squad will survive the cull.
Bash has been a great servant but he’s passed his best and is a liability sorry.

Worst WUM attempt ever

He falls into the hero category for me, so stay as long as he likes, teach the youngsters the dedication he excels at, but I'm happy for him to get a big money PL move in his final years. Last season at the age of 32 he bossed many top PL strikers, despite been isolated through having to defend many a counter attack due to the turd tactics.

Ramsdale was shite for half of the season - Bash was our best player with Didzy at that point.

For me, there’s no real evidence he’s passed his best. He’s coped easily with the prem and is dropping down a significant level. All the players comment that he’s still the fittest man in the squad.

If he can’t play the new man’s style then that will be a different story.

Our recent rise and on a relative shoestring is due to assembling a core group of model professionals who really look after themselves: Bash, JOC, Egan, Baldock, Stevens, Sharp.

Last season is best forgot

Couldn’t stand him in League One. His style in midfield in home games against teams of that standard was the last thing we needed.

Since he’s been RCB he’s been a huge part of the success and is 100% a club legend now.

Hi Stegosaurus here,

Very good player. Along with McG, was one of the only good players last season

Its a shame that he's likely joining Wilder at West Brom.
what i can’t fathom is someone having enough time in their day to regularly go on a forum for a team they dont give a toss about to troll, and actually do it terribly too. To actually show a level of commitment to doing something which is probably mildly amusing at best, over anything else in life which is actually fulfilling, like going out on a sunny day or spending time with your friends and family members

Might seem unpopular but my view on Bash is

Very average centre back
Very average right full back
Very average midfielder
Fantastic engine/ stamina (best at the club)
Excellent positional intelligence, versilitilty, work rate and attitude

His career was totally transformed when Wilder created a position that was perfect for his versatility and stamina.

Wilder thought why not play him as “centre back, wing back and midfielder”, all in the same match, with other players also inter changeable.
Wilder even encourages Basham to make forward runs and have a go at playing as striker, sometimes he’s been the player highest up the pitch.

His rise at our club has been extraordinary....wouldn‘t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes.
A guy who was average at league 1 level looking totally at home and impressing at Premier League level.
Really pleased for him....a model pro....and will always be held in high esteem here.

It takes his mind off his team...who are now in league 1 and facing oblivion....so can you blame him.
