Him being (legit) injured is the best thing that could have happened - if he had been fit his value would have dropped significantly. Making a profit on him (assuming that happens) is mental.
 
Freddie, not following your logic. Hes already had one of the worst injuries a footballer can have and now he's come back, played one match and is injured again.

There's no way a top team is spunking 30m on a player who could be a crock!
 
Given how he was pretty anonymous last match maybe we don't want him to play himself out of a big money move!
 



Michael brown doing is his best to sell him tonight - think it was Lescott who mentioned £30m - I d take take that ! I’m sure any deal that is done will include add-ons and some payback to where we got him from too - maybe we should put in a buy back clause a la Brewster 🤣
 
I believe the report said it was not the injury that put him out for the season .It was picked up as an injury that often happens to players after an operation when they try to get back into shape. JOC also had a set back.

There is no reason to rush these two back as the season is over why risk further damage rest them until training camp.
 
Ship him out and buy a new midfield, nothing against him at all, but he simply has not suited us, get 25/30m, I'd love to see him flourish in the prem

I honestly don’t know why more people don’t see it like this.

He’s a drifter whose decent few touches every game mask the fact he can’t tackle any skilful and can’t mark on set pieces.

He can look like a genuine world beater but hasn’t done it anywhere near often enough.
 
Berge hasn't set the world alight as he's too good for us. He's surrounded by players that aren't on his level, can't anticipate what he'll do, and we've dragged him down to our level.

It's a massive shame but we can't afford to surround him with better players that compliment him, so we'll lose him without seeing how good he really is.
 
I know hes "too good for us" but I really wouldn't be bothered if we sell him.

Every relegated team sells at least one player.

Im going to have to disagree with this.

I don't think he's pony, but I also don't think he's 'too good for us'. Wrong player, wrong club.

I’ve read some wild exaggerations of Berge’s value and abilities on this site, but this takes the cake.

Before he was banged up in the nonce's pen, that musical device would have fetched a princely sum.

I think he played to prove his fitness and that a move to Arsenal is very much on the cards, unlike McCabe though Blades stick out for 35m minimum.
