It’s probably because he came in as the outsider at 20/1 so people viewed that as good value and had a flutter based on the fact at this stage he’s as likely as any other name. Odds aren’t a good gauge at this stage.

He never really "worked" with McBurnie as Oli left in the August following Coopers appointment in July.

Isn't it more important the guy driving the team bus, has experience of the Championship, than the manager, this experience of the league, seems another lazy comment thrown about by equally lazy pundits, if it was a proven requirement, Mourinho, Pep, Klopp, Ancelotti and countless others would have never got a job in the UK. Really don't get it why pundits come out stuff like that. If we take that approach we'll to end up with a Pulis or Garry Monk type. I'm happy to have an upcoming coach/manager who is proving that their methods are working now, not a manager who's methods worked 10 years ago, but still gets work on the manager merry go round. Lets give someone new a chance.
